Excellent Miata fix!!
Simply the best Miata fix. Previous owner had used a soft key and left the crank bolt loose. Crank was badly damaged but just before I pulled the motor to replace the crank I found this!! Installed in a couple hours. Very well designed, and excellent communication from the seller. Car has a couple hundred miles on it and runs better than ever. Highly recommend!!

You need this
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for bring this back. The pulley wobbled off of my 93 Miata about a year ago and I wish I had this. It needed a new pulley and key ( it broke off and I had to cut, grind, and pick it out with minimal damage) and crank but I was able to save it. I looked long and far for this to help but to no avail. As well built as the Mazda motors are, idk what they were thinking when they left that 1/2” gap in the nose between the crank and pulley bolt. Long story short, my E-store belt kit broke again and I just put in a Gates but I will have no problem taking it apart again to install this gem. Not sure about newer motors but if you have a 93 1.6 you need this. Thanks again for bringing this back.

The intend of the item is good although fit is problematic
The design and the intend are well but the crankshaft bolt would not fit through. The hole of the saver is slightly undersized (like they used imperial size drill for metric bolt size) which created fitment issues. I had to re-drill the hole with large drill bit which is uncommon and doesn’t fit drill machine. Otherwise it works well once installed. The lower review is because they do not have their quality control in place and sent a product that requires modification by the customer.Once we are past the modification, the item works well , but it took extra time and struggle to make it fit! Be aware!

great product, bad manufacturing standards
as of right now i have had a 1 star experience. now let me just say that this kind of product is awesome if it works but I have a 1995 na miata which according to amazon and the seller’s listing is compatible with this part. when i was about to install it i tried putting the boss crank bolt in and it wouldn’t fit or screw in or anything. the woodruff key works fine but the spacer will not work with the bolt no matter how much grease i put on it. i hope to get one that works when i exchange this.

Perfect fit
Actually works amazingly. I wanted to machine my own but couldn't find the time. It worked great on my 1996 1.8L miata. I will definitely buy this again if I get another miata. It fit perfectly and removed the wobble I had before. It was a big relief.

Now I Feel Safe
I am not able to say if it works or not, to be honest that's a good thing. I've gotten two of these for my two miatas and it fits like a charm. Very very well made part and to be honest $70 is way better than $300 for a new crankshaft.

If you own a Miata, buy this now!
I had a slight crank wobble in my 99 miata so I bought this hoping it would help and to avoid doing the “thread lock method”. I replaced the crank timing gear, woodruff key, crank bolt and harmonic damper while I had everything apart and I recommend doing that too. When I pulled my harmonic damper off I could see my key way was slightly off. I was able to pull the woodruff key out easily with pliers and instantly noticed it was not only twisted but it was actually cracked enough that I’m surprised it hadn’t sheared before now.It must have been off enough that the timing was affected because the car runs so much better now.I would recommend anybody that owns a Miata to buy this kit and install it during the next timing belt change, it will definitely help a car that has crank wobble and prevent it from happening to a car that doesn’t.

Hole is too small; need additional tools.
The media could not be loaded. Maybe it's a bad batch, but I can't get the bolt through. Hoping someone notices the review and reaches out - will happily edit once resolved. I just need a replacement.Edit: with the help of my friend I was able to finish the machining job using a 14mm reamer that can be purchased on Amazon. Once reamed, the bolt goes right through and the part installs. Just a bummer that this has to be done. Picture of the tool attached.
