Revivex Pro High-Tech Fabric Cleaner

LOVE this stuff! Used it to handwash my tent to get the unbelievable STENCH of wet dog out of it after a couple very rainy weeks of camping with my pup. Bought the Gear Aid odor remover just incase the cleaner didn't get rid of the smell, but I ended up not needing to use it. This was so much easier to use than Nikwax products and you get so much more product for less than Nikwax. I'll be using Gear Aid tech wash from now on for all my outdoor gear. :)

After an ill-fated camping trip this summer that ended abruptly when I rushed home to deal with a family emergency, I left my tent sitting in a heap in the yard. It got rained on multiple times, resulting in it getting mildewy and gross. I later decided to wash it and dumped it into a bucket of soapy water, then got pulled away for something else for a couple of weeks, which meant it ended up smelling like a swamp. I thought for sure it was ruined. Gear Aid saved the day! I soaked the tent overnight in a tub of water mixed with this product, then hung it up and scrubbed every inch of it with a soft sponge and soapy Gear Aid/water mix. Then I rinsed it thoroughly and let it line dry. No more smell at all! I am thrilled. I will treat my gear more nicely in the future, but if this ever happens again, it's good to know there is a solution!

Clean my gear well. Nice product. Only question I have is direction call for "capful" for each piece of gear. But I'm not sure if the capful meant just the small round part of the cap or the whole diamond shape space in the cap...

Works as desribed

I bought this several months ago. I finally got a good day to clean my incredibly stinky tent. It's a 35 year old REI Mountain Dome. A 4-season tent that has seen lots of use 30 to 10 years ago but then sat in a damp basement for years. I was gagging when I found the tent in a box. It smelled like rotten milk. I aired it out. That did not do much. So today I tossed the tent in the tub & added the Revivex. Most of the container went to wash the tent. It really stunk. After about 20 minutes in the tub with the luke warm water & Revivex, I thought the tent disappeared. I could not smell it any more. I then used the rest of the packet on the rain fly & stuff sacks. Again, 20 minutes later, no more gross smell. No smell actually. The tent is dry now, no damage from the cleaning & the coating is still intact. I will no longer be able to find my tent by how bad it smells now.

This product doesn’t work. It didn’t get the stains out of my light colored jacket and it stripped all the jackets I washed with it. I followed the package instructions and pared with the wash in rewaterproofer as recommended by the brand. What was a jacket that used to soak through after heavy rain now soaks in immediately, barely even beads. Very disappointed.

I've now used this GEAR AID product for washing hiking gear (backpack, dry bags, rain jackets, ...etc), and this is the best!! My gear is like new again, without compromising the quality of the fabric (water repellency, ...etc). Very highly recommended!!!!

This product is easy to use and works very well. I cleaned the collar of a golf jacket that had not been cleaned in a long time. It came out just like new. I recommend this product and will continue to use it.

El producto me parece muy bueno, sirve, hace su función y todo lo que promete. El empaque: me parece muy bien que sea una bolsita, pero esa tapa es inservible. Te la ponen en el video como "medida" a aplicar pero la verdad es que es acto de fe, realmente no sabes cuanto estás echando y luego tienes que estar escurriéndola o se te hace un desmadre porque no tiene algún método de "retorno de líquidos" entonces terminas manchado, etc. Este es el único tema a cambiar.

Treating, washing, and drying your Gore-Tex products assures their on-going functional use. In fact, it is by washing and drying—drying specifically— that your Gore-Tex products are assured a long, water-proof life. I never knew that until recently when I read their info on their website. This is a great product to add to your wash, thereby treating it. I have a pair of Saucony pants that are Gore-Tex treated and they have lasted me for close to 40 years. Washing them and other Gore-Tex clothing will give them added protection.
