Bought this to act as a 1Gbps firewall running Linux. It works great: no issues on any kind, running standard Debian.Each of the 4 Ethernet ports is an independent card (Intel 82583V, as expected), and port numbering in hardware matches software, which is convenient. SSD card works fine as well. The CPU is quite good and can route full traffic without problems.The box is totally silent (fanless, and no electrical noise either), and the case is strong. It does not heat up too much either, it's just mildly warm to the touch, totally acceptable.

No manual, no documentation - ZERO INFORMATION at all supplied with the product. No information on what should be connected - OK, most of it is obvious (VGA port, power, LAN ports) but specifically, no information on what the port labelled 'COM' does. I contacted the seller and they said 'yeah, there is no manual'; and when I asked what the function of the COM port was they just sent me part of the circuit diagram; after I bugged them some more they sent some more info (although not enough to actually use the COM prt).There are two buttons: labelled 'SW' and 'RST' - but zero information on their functions.Also, no information on the default functions and IP addresses of the ports labeleld LAN1-4: which is the WAN, which are the LAN ports and what are the default IP addresses?I asked the seller to send me information on the product, at least to cover these points, but the seller said there is nothing. Unacceptable for a product costing ~£200. Why can they not at least give some basic explanation? Does the product work? Possibly, still trying to get it going after a week. I did exchange several emails with Partaker to get information; like pulling teeth.IF you are happy spending your time guessing these things and working it out for yourself, and spending few hours doing trial and error (e.g. trying to work out which pfSense WAN port is igb0), then go ahead. Otherwise get something else.I have so far given it two stars as the console screen does come up fine on the VGA port and can configure some things with a keyboard in one of the USB ports. Still persevering for another few days - if I don't get it going then it will go back.I am a software engineer, so have a reasonable idea about these things - the problem is that with zero basic documentation you just have to guess what the config is - totally unnecessary if Partaker were to take some responsibility and provide basic info.

I have installed ubuntu as I dedicating it for different purpose then originally it is designed. Have to admit works perfect. All drivers were found, graphics are smooth and I can even watch video, but it is used as a NAS server, so the time will show the life span on domestic network.P.S. Good news, the device will turn on immediately once it will be powered on. Such feature never seen on other micro-computers (except rpi, odroid, parallela), but irreparable for micro-servers, NAS or surveillance systems.

Got the 4GB/64GB device, overwrote pfSense with Untangle, plenty of RAM & Disk space for my 70 or so devices - just a note, there is not a 1*SATA3.0 interface or ability to house a 2.5" drive/ssd in this one.

Today I started it as a firewall with pfSense. It works perfectly. What worries me is that it works at a temperature of 55 degrees. But I received assurances from the manufacturer that it is normal and that I should not worry.It is small, robust, with a nice appearance and from a hardware point of view, very fast and stable.The 4 LAN ports bring a great advantage when you connect multiple devices (In my case, I connected a server with several virtual machines, a 24 port switch and an AP) or create multiple local networks.With 2GB RAM and 16GB MSATA, it holds a network of 20 PCs with impressive Internet traffic at less than 10% of resources.What to say...? I am impressed and I am happy with the purchase I made.I will definitely buy again and will recommend with confidence.

I wanted a reasonably priced firewall that I could customise and gave me Gb bandwidth on both sides. I had used 'branded' devices at a comparable price, and they either broke down or restricted bandwidth onto the internet side. This device was shipped across from China in good time and I have to say, was extremely well packaged. The system was up and running (with a configuration in a lab) in around an hour. I have since commissioned it and is working well.

Excellent unit. Bought this for my home lab. Comes pre-installed with PFSense which I overwrote with Sophos XG

Nice little piece of kit. Added an M.2 SSD and some 1.35V RAM, installed pfSense and it has been working for a couple of months without a single glitch.

Ho comprato la versione con 4GB di RAM e 128GB di ssdd. Lo sto usando da una settimana con Untangle firewall dopo un paio di giorni di test con pfsense che era preinstallato. Untangle richiede più risorse di pfsense, ma la macchina si comporta molto bene e non fatica. Tempi lunghi per la consegna (peraltro noti al momento dell'acquisto), ma ne è valsa la pena.

Il prodotto in questione è un router di alta fascia su cui puo' essere installato qualsiasi sistema operativo ROUTER ORIENTED oppure essere utilizzato semplicemente come un miniPC fanless con i sistemi operativi canonici, ho installato anche Windows 10 e va benissimo, per non parlare di Linux, consigliatissimo

Ideal para montar un Firewall para casa o Oficina pequeña.Lo tengo con un modulo de 8G de ram y un disco msata de 128G como servidor nas y firewall y aguanta muchisimo.Se calienta un poco pero no afecta para nada al rendimiento y an no tener ventiladores ni partes moviles puedes tenerlo en cualquier sito de la casa.

Ottimo prodotto, veloce e reattivo. Un incredibile BIOS totalmente configurabile...Installato Untangle da USB, senza alcun problema. Il processore è praticamente fermo anche con una 50ina di dispositivi collegati e 11 vlan. Lo consiglio vivamente rispetto a una soluzione più costosa di firewall sia per casa che per piccole / medie aziende.

BIOSでSecure Bootの設定変更ができないため、インストールさせるOSによっては問題がでてきそうです。Windows Serverの直接インストールやHyper-Vを動作させるにはネットワークドライバのインストールにひと手間がかかりますが、ESXiは簡単にインストールでき、問題なく動作しています。この上にCent OSやSophos XG Firewallを動作させていますが、問題なく動作しています。
