Brilliant - All I needed was power
So my NAS died. I didn't want to pay for a new case so I went to the blogs and found what other people did. After reading up on things, some people were reporting that when their NAS died, they bought a new power supply and were right back in the game. The same worked for me, this was a much more cost effective fix. Thanks!

Does NOT work with DS918+. Only single hole power connector!
This is a SINGLE hole , not rounded 3 pin hole like on back on Synology. You can see it in first picture..then they blur it out in the others. lol

Worked as replacement for DS918+ power adapter
I had a problem with an older Synology NAS DS918+ that would not start up anymore and only showed a blue light for less than a second. It was discussed in Synology forums that this could be related to the power supply, but to be careful, because some of the replacements on Amazon have the pins differently wired. I'm happy to report that this power adapter worked as described and fixed my problem. Very happy!

Excellent value, nice replacement for original
Original adapter died after 4 years. This was significantly cheaper than original.

Does not work with Synology DiskStation DS918+
This is not physically compatible with the DS918+.

Not the same quality as the original, but it works
The OEM power supply failed, so I purchased this unit and it does work. The original unit had a 3 prong cord and this one has only a 2 prong cord. The unit seems flimsy, but it does work on my Synology DS-918+ NAS. This unit is not cheap, but the delivery was fast, so downtime was minimized.
