Men's Real Leather Ratchet Dress Belt with Automatic Buckle,Elegant Gift Box

LOL. Why am I laughing? Because I order this months ago and was disappointed all this time because i did not read the instyructions on how to custom fit it! Once I did, my 1 star rating based upon not fitting, which I never did submit, turned into a 5 star. First of all, it fits perfectly, no matter (within more than a reasonable range) how much weight you gain or loose.It's various buckles give you a virtually unlimited range of cutomizations. I purchased one brown and one black belt with styles that appealed to me. Now, if I want a different style, I just interchange belts and buckles and I have a nice style no matter what I choose.It's leather is beautiful and NOT cheesy looking. It is really beautiful leather.The lack of holes is an advantage because, in my 78 years of experience with belts, wherever the hole was, that was where a belt normally failed. This novel way of buckling is really nice and looks smart.

Great Quality Product, This Belt, just barely fits me just right, Didn't have to cut it or anything. The quality Control of both the Ratchet Belt Buckle and the Belt itself are superb. I'm not an expert on fine and expensive leather belts and clothing, but this belt feels good and smooth, and it feels and looks like it was made with care and quality control. The Buckle is very nice, and it looks very durable might last for quite some time. Although it says its scratch resistant, I don't believe it is, mine came slightly scratched in the middle of the shield, but due to the color of the shield you can barely even tell it's there. None the less I still rate it 5 stars since its made of really great quality and you won't be disappointed if you try it on.Lets talk about the Ratchet it self, as most people have complaint a lot about how its very difficult to work the ratchet belt, or how its difficult to release the lever on the side to release the belt. Another thing people say is how hard it is to remove the belt from the locking mechanism to cut the belt more. One thing. Im my opinion and only opinion it doesn't take a genius to figure out how to release tension on the ratchet belt to remove the belt from the locking pin. All you do is pull the lever up while pushing the belt forward then take the belt out, its that simple.In my opinion removing the belt from the lever below the ratchet belt, yes is a bit difficult to remove since the teeth are pushing into the belt, for me this is a good thing, I don't want my belt coming off from the holding lever due to tension being put when locking the belt into the ratchet locking system. There is a reason why its difficult to remove, if it was that easy then your belt is no good, granted it does require a small tool to lift the lever up to release the belt but its not that diffuclt to get a flat strong screw driver or flat tool to lift it up.Pro's:Very good quality, Both belt and ratchet are made of good quality, you will not be disappointed.Style of the belt is very unique and will bring you many conversations about how it works and what kind of belt it is.Belt isn't too big that it will stick out, that is a plus, I own a few other ratchet belts and some stick out quite a bit.No Holes means no holes in your belt anymore, coming from belts with holes and being torn due to too much pulling or belts that snapped from the edge of the buckle, this ratchet system makes it a lot easier, simply lift lever remove damaged piece of belt, cut if you need to and then insert, close lever and you are done.This new ratchet system will make your belt last for more then 1 year if not more because there is no creating more holes that can cause your belt to break and or snap off.Con's:A few more inches on the belt would be nicer, although the belt barely fits, im using another belt and saving the belt that came with this ratchet buckle for another time as a replacement. Would be nice if you have a XXL or XXXL in case people need a few extra inches.Downside about the ratchet belt system is, if it already comes pre-made, it either won't fit, or if its too long and if you cut too much it will not grow back, you need to measure the right amount of inches that will need to be cut for your size.Earlier I said it wasn't too bulky that it would stick out like a swore thumb, for some this still made be too big or sticks out too much as it is quite bigger from a normal size belt buckle. It can be an eyes swore.The ratchet system on the belt only comes with 30-38 holding adjustments, sometimes that's not enough, atleast 42-45 adjustments would be nice and more then enough in case you need more adjusting.The lever on the ratchet buckle can be quite hard to release if you are trying to cut more off the belt, you need atleast a thin flat tool to release the tension on the lever to lift it up, don't even try using your finger nails, you will tear them apart.If pins break off on the locking lever that hold the belt, you will need a replacement buckle, if 3 or more break off, the buckle becomes trash.Overall, I like this belt, since its made of great quality material I predict this will last me a long time, I recommend this belt to anyone wanting to try something new and does coming from belts with holes to try this, you will not go back to does old school belts that tear apart after a few months.

I gave this five stars because I have never found a belt anywhere near this quality for the price. The packaging is higher-end which would make this good as a gift, but I bought this for myself and I will find a good re-purpose for the box and belt bag. The look of the belt is sleek and works good with my office clothes. The engineering of the belt is great and the ratcheting makes for an exact fit. There are two properties of the belt I want to warn you about though. First, the belt face does scratch easily (I got all black). I immediately got a small scratch in the paint and now I am extremely careful about not carrying anything that rubs on it, or dropping my pants on floor with the belt still on. The second item is that you should absolutely read and follow the directions. There are several inches of belt that extend past a tracked section on the rear of the belt that is required to fasten your belt. When you calculate the cut point you have to account for this extra belt that must always extend past the buckle. I did not read the directions and went straight to cutting thinking I could run the end of the belt just past the buckle. Nope. Luckily I cut short and it works great for now. If I gain more than an inch in my waist I'll need a new belt, but that's my fault, not the belt. The instructions were clear, after I eventually read them. When I get another one, I'll be getting another of these!

MY OPINION:This belt is great, I got it on a Lightning Deal and I would highly recommend. I wear a belt 5 days a week all day and i have worn this one for about a week. I was a little confused when it came in but after looking it over for about 5 minutes i figured out how to fit it to me. I only am a size 30 and this belt was 45.HOW TO FIT THE BELT:What you need is a good pair of kitchen shears or scissors. The buckle is not connected to the belt when you get it. What you need to do it take the belt without the buckle and wrap it around your waist. Give yourself a little room for "growing" and cut it at the end that is not rounded. After you have done that, then you can insert the flat end that you just cut into the bottom of the belt and close the clamp. The teeth will keep it in place.PROS:Quality LeatherEasy to fit to sizeGreat lookingCONS:Maybe instructions? Really not to hard to figure out though.

It's possible I got a lemon, but I'm returning the belt and trying a different brand.On my very first attempt to wear the belt the threading at the end of the plastic ratchet points came loose.Now that doesn't sound so bad since it's on the bottom and out of sight. However that little thread is enough to catch the metal ratchet piece which means the belt will not un-ratchet (think boa constrictor).Not a fun task finding something to pry the little metal teeth part out of the cut-end of the belt just to get it off. God help you if it was tight when all that happened!
