What an enormous difference it made in our water our water quality August 2020
We went from 436 TDS PPM to 32 TDS PPM in just 1 hours work. The system is compact, easy to install and we even filter our refrigerators ice maker with it. For us, it was a life saver and quality of life enhancer. It is worth every bit of effort to install and works exactly as designed. It leaves enough minerals in the water to give the taste some character. Get one if you need to reduce the salt in your diet or just want the best tasting deep well drinking water you can get in eastern Virginia.

Easy to put in and it works
Clean water. Remember to fill 3 times and drain before drinking the water. Good health is important. Clean water is important get it in what ever way you choose. I have one thing I dislike and that is: it takes three gallon of back flush water to make one gallon of drinking water. Then I still take that filtered water and but it through my pur filtering pitcher that I have in the refrigerator to let it become cold drinking water. Xtreme signing off.

impossible to install
We have had a two previous WATTS reverse osmosis filters over the years and been pleased with their functioning and quality of water. So when it came time to replace our old filter we purchased this model. It has been a horrible experience from the start beginning with the installation process, the pump over heats, it almost burned out, the lines have leaked, the reservoir does not retain sufficient water for continuous use. It's always making hissing and humming noises. We have spent over $300 in plumber bills trying to trouble shoot and solve the issues with this unit and still it's not working. Super frustrated and do not recommend this particular model.

Much easier to change the filters
I ordered this to replace my old one as it was a real pain changing the filters and I am getting older and it wasn't getting any easier, so I decided to get these which allows the filters to be replaced in a matter of just a few minutes and didn't require me to take the whole filter contraption out of the cabinet and then spend more time just to change the filters, which always somehow ended up with a bunch of water on the floor. The fact that I didn't have to stand on my head to install the faucet was a real bonus for the installation, though I still had to work at getting the old faucet off as it was extremely difficult to reach it under the cabinet (I have changed it twice in the last 20 years and installing the old faucet was really difficult). I liked the first one of these I bought I bought another one and changed out the other one in my house now, rather than waiting until I had used up all of the filters I had (Goodwill anyone?) Now if I have to ever change the faucet it will be a snap and changing the filters way easier.

Good product.
I love watts ro systems. I bought this one in 2000, and I did have a transformer issue as others have mentioned. Rather than stick with the watts provided transformer, I bought a cheap one on Amazon for $12 that has worked since. I have purchased and installed several of these. The only other maintenance item I've had to replace was the electric pressure valve. The motors have been resilient and not noisy as others mentioned. Expecting that one day I might have a motor or electric valve issue, I bought a backup kit 2 years ago, but I haven't needed it yet.

Easy to install, delicious water. Horrid warranty service.
Initial Review: 5 StarsI've had an Austin Springs 5 stage RO system for a few years that I enjoyed the water from. We bought a new house, and after a day I realized I could not deal with the chlorinated filth coming out of the tap. Instead of moving our old unit, I decided to buy a new one, for a few reasons - after installing the other unit, our water bill increased drastically. I wanted our new unit to use less water, and the thought that this reused the brine by pumping it into the hot water system intrigued me. Also, the faucet on the other unit was a nightmare to keep tight. This filter was incredibly easy to install. The faucet tightens from the top of the sink, meaning you don't have to get under the sink to get it right. The quick connect fittings all work without leaks. I had a problem with a leak after installing, and tech support quickly walked me through how to tighten the elbow to stop the leak. I flushed two tanks, and my water went from 148ppm to 3ppm on a zero water filter - and it doesn't taste like a swimming pool anymore. The hardest part of installing was the fact that in had to drill a hole in the floor and the base of the sink to run the power cord for the pump, and then fish the cord to the basement to reach an outlet. The instructions say that this is tested to work with a water heater temp of 120°F. My water heater is at 150°F - so far, we've experienced no problem with the hot water system, and it's been days. (Update: The only thing I've noticed is that our once instantly hot water now takes a few seconds to heat up.)The only two downsides - the piece that holds the filters was broken on both spots where the screws mount. Because of that, I can't effectively mount the filter housing. I don't mind that too much, and it was probably just bad luck on my part that won't apply to others. The biggest peeve of mine is that the faucet only comes in silver. I have an oil rubbed bronze faucet - would be nice to have a matching water filter.I don't yet know how this will impact water bills compared to the conventional RO unit, but not hearing it waste water every time it pours a glass is comforting. Just make sure your kids don't drink the shower water.Update : 4/1/20Received water bill. It's comparable to a bill on a home without a RO system. The water is delicious still, and still reading low on a tds meter even after pumping out gallons per day.Excellent system. Seriously, couldn't be more pleased.Update: 9/13/20 - 3 StarsWarranty service on this filter is HORRIBLE. The power supply to the pump stopped working unexpectedly. I contacted for replacement parts twice, and received no response either time. There is also a weird phenomenon where accidentally bumping the faucet causes it to release about an ounce of water. Not much, but it is unusual. The fact that they claim a one year warranty but ignore all warranty requests is pretty disappointing. The filter itself is quite wonderful, but they lose two starts for not following their own terms.

Best overall system available - I've installed many of these
This is the fourth brand of RO System that I've owned, and I think it's the best. I install these for friends & family pretty routinely. What makes is special - at least in my mind - is the use of a quick change cartridge system. Push a button, and the cartridges come right out and you can replace the first two Red & Yellow in less than ONE MINUTE.When water production diminishes after some months of usage, the filter set can be replaced easily compared to some of the other systems. The owners manual says to replace every year, but that depends on how much water your household uses daily. With 5 people in the house, we went thru cartridges in 12 to 16 months. With only one or two of us, we can go a full two years...
