Ooh my! It is beautiful to look at and has the best filter that I have found ever! I've put a little mark on the out side to let me know how full I need to fill it for my single cup of tea, saves an overflow if I'm using a regular cup.

I bought this as a Lightning Deal so paid about £13 for it& am so pleased with it - it's just brilliant. I prefer loose tea & have used, after trying all manner of brewing options to not leave you with a cup full of leaves, the little mesh pots that sit in your cup. They work pretty well from a brewing viewpoint, but I find cleaning the used leaves out of them irritatingly awkward & there are often tiny escaped flecks of tea. This steeper, however, is just brilliant. I drink tea black & prefer it weak & found at first that it can be a little misleading because the colour of the brewing tea doesn't change greatly, apart from at the very bottom where the majority of the leaves settle. However, once you sit the steeper on your mug & the tea drains through into it, it can be stronger than you thought. I'm fine at judging it now though, & have perfect, leaf-free tea every time. I do also drink rooibos but, because that distributes through the water rather than settling at the bottom, you can see what strength it's reached. The wonderful thing about this steeper though, is ease of cleaning it. Once the tea is in the mug, I run water from the tap into the steeper, swill the used leaves around & tip them into a sieve. 2 or 3 goes of this & there's an entirely clean steeper & used leaves ready to be tipped into the compost bin. The little mesh dome in the bottom can be removed easily with a firm pull up for additional cleaning, if necessary.

If I could give this thing 6 stars, I would do it.It is well worth the money. It is easy to use easy to clean up. I have 2 one at home and one at the office. And if I continue to drink tea like I do I probably will get another one and have it at my mother in law's house.

This is a beautiful, functional vessel to steep your tea, quite modern and love the glass mug. The whole process becomes a personal ceremony and makes me want to drink more tea.
