Hoodoo Almanac 2014 & 2015

I am fascinated by Vodou and Hoodoo and read up on them as much as I can. Can't seem to get enough and these Hoodoo Almanacs (I believe this is the third one) are wonderful. The whole presentation of the book is atmospheric with artwork and fascinating articles. Even the ads are interesting to look over. I especially like how she includes lore and information from other similar cultures and practices such as from the Mexican and Indian culture. In this almanac, she included an article titled "High Desert Hoodoo" which totally thrilled me, since I also live in the high desert (actually only a short distance from where Denise Alvarado resides here in AZ). This is the type of book I will go back to time and time again.

I love this almanac. It is so practical and very informative. You can sense how much care was put into the design. At the same time it is a reference book that you will want to save. It makes a wonderful gift 🎁

great seller. I though this would be more informative and enjoyable as a read. I would be more into it if it was current. Still giving it a chance, though.
