I bought it to listen to an old band tape from a Cassette labeled rehearsal 1977. Within 45 minutes I had converted it to MP3 and sent it to all the former band members. It reproduced the sound very well and we were all able to relive the past. It also comes with descent software to enhance the audio. I pulled the file into ProTools and EQ'ed through a mastering plug in that made it sound better than the day it was recorded.

I wanted to transfer old cassettes to my computer. The Audacity system is notoriously unfriendly, but manageable. The first Reshow recording devise failed after 3 weeks, the computer failed to recognize it, probably a bad cable or in the devise. I bought another, (kept the packaging) After a week i noticed it was taking 1:15 to play a 45 minute side. I returned it got another. This last one, after 3 weeks, just topped working properly, the recording would just intermittently stop in the middle of tape ( to a loud shrill noise). I was only using a few hours a week. I wish i could spend more money and get one that works, not this crap for $20...but options are limited for the task at hand on Amazon.Buyer Beware!!! .

This was recommended to me by a friend and I ordered it with great hesitation, because I am not tech smart. But I have been trying to record some tapes from a class I took so I could listen to them via my ipod. I've been looking for a way to do this for years and have had no success! I received my recorder this week and in 1 day, I recorded all 10 of the tapes I wanted to record and now I am able to hear them through my ipod. I was afraid that the tapes would stretch out and I'd never be able to listen to them again. This recorder was so user friendly and they came out great. Best $20 I've ever spent!! I would buy this again in a heartbeat and will be recommending it to anyone looking to change a tape into a mp3 file!!

This was not a great purchase and he app you had to download to use it infected my computer... any one else have issues ?
