Easy to clean, doesn't get hot in the sun.
Rec Prow vinyl marine flooring. One word fantastic.I have a 24 ft. 25 year old pontoon boat that looks new again.A bear to take the rug off and prep the floor , could not get all the old glue off even with a 80lb floor sander. Only used 1 gal of rec Pro glue, I put glue down heavy but no puddles with paint tray and medium roller. I think the key was I waited for 80 degree weather . Three of us put it down , pulled the vinyl tight and hit edges with a staple gun. That took about 30 minutes. Also 3rd person on top pushing from center to edge with a vinyl roller.Almost went with thicker woven vinyl flooring but found out it gets too hot to walk on in sun. The rec pro 1 piece vinyl is much cooler on the bare feet.It looks like it will last longer than me. Great product.floor and glue.

Don't Listen To The Naysayers; Adhesive Selection, Surface Prep, and Application Temperature Are Key
Any big glue up project makes me nervous; if you screw it up you can destroy your material, your substrate, and make a whole bunch of work and hassles for yourself.Research your choice of adhesive VERY carefully. I did, and I settled on this Rec Pro Adhesive for installation of my premium felt backed polyvinyl floor to the wood substrate on my pontoon boat and I could not be happier.I used 2 gallons for my 19' x 8' floor. It was 73 degrees at application (within spec) and I used a medium nap roller. It has a longer work time than many adhesives, but it's not forever. You can't dilly dally, but you don't have to rush either. Easiest application for this project was to pour the whole gallon over your surface (1/2 the deck lengthwise) and them spread it around evenly with the roller. This is an excellent adhesive IF it's the correct adhesive for your application, you prep your surface, and follow the application instructions.Except the notched trowel; I don't see how this product could be worked with a trowel.

It works
This was easy to deal with. Seemed to ahere good. After initial may of vinyl on this it would not slide. Had to make sure straight and square before laying down.I think this worked good.

Returned....
Returned. Few instructions, but plenty of toxic warnings on the bucket. Decided on using another adhesive.

Total garbage product
0 stars would be a compliment. Absolute garbage product, and even worse instructions. Just says "put it on when still wet" and doens't tell you to glue 1 surface or both. Not sure if it's the adhesive itself or the RecPro fleece-backed flooring that sucks the most, but this is the adhesive they ship you with the flooring, and it's barely stronger than a paperclip. What a waste of time and money. We build van cabinets and use a temperature controlled finish room, could not get this stuff to adhere to anything after several attempts and several installers trying it. Total garbage. No other contact adhesive/flooring adhesive says to put it on when still wet, after 4 days we peeled it off and it was still wet!

Great marine adhesive for plywood floor
worked great for replacing worn out carpet with nautolex marine vinyl flooring in my 18 foot bayliner. filled in knot holes in the plywood, sanded rough areas, then rolled on the adhesive with a paint roller on the plywood and on the bottom side of the vinyl flooring, let it get tacky, then laid the flooring down and rolled it with a roller. i'm really pleased with the results!

Not good on all surfaces
The only surface this stuff will adhere to is wood and that is still a bit iffy. DO NOT try and use this to apply on aluminum surfaces, it simply will not work. I wish I would have known this before I spent $55 on an entire gallon!! The boat I am replacing the carpet with vinyl flooring is almost completely aluminum so I had to go to Home Depot and spent another $40 on contact cement which is the recommended adhesive to use on aluminum surfaces. Even on wood surfaces it takes at least 48 hours to set up enough for me to take off the spring clamps I used to hold the vinyl in place.
