Perfect jam buddy.
I love this thing. The presets are a little funky but they all can be changed and edited. The volume pedal works great and is super sturdy, the looper is a little short, meaning you can only record 38 seconds but you can dub over as many times as you want. Not bad when a looper pedal costs the same as this efects board. The sounds sounds great, maybe not like streight out of a tube amp great, but great all the same. Perfect for jaming in the room. Its a little overwhelming at first, but youll find your favorite settings pretty quick.Side note..... I got a manual that was not english, i think it came from Hong Kong, but i wad able to download an English one fairly easily.

Boss ME-25
The unit works well, with almost unlimited variations of sound. However, one effect that cannot be adjusted is the automatic swell. Also, it would be nice if a power adapter were included, as with other products at the same price range. Any other multivoltage adpaters will not work with this unit.Customer support is very good in anwering questions regarding the set up.The item was described as new but the plastic enclosure appeared old and previously opened. It arrived on the last promised delivery date.

Perfect for circa 1950s rock, blues and even jazz - can be used on stage if you do not need many presets
I purchased this because our classic (50s) rock and blues band's guitarist was using a Line 6 POD that just did not match the vintage sound we were seeking. It can be used to extend simpler amps for live performance for the music we play as well as jazz. The first thing I did when I got it was to dust off my Kustom Amps DEFENDER15H The Defender 15-Watt Class A Guitar Head, pair it with a 12 inch cab and start experimenting. It was easy to dial in the sound we wanted, plus to create and save a few presets. Nothing fancy, but paired with that small tube amp was EXACTLY what we needed to get a sound from the 1950s. It is super clean, and - more importantly - easy to learn and configure for the uncomplicated effects and sounds we needed. We are still fine tuning this thing, and have not begun to tap its full potential. I will say that of you are looking for simplicity and have a well defined sound this will work on stage as well as in the studio. Also check out YouTube for some very helpful how-to videos because those got us going in the right direction, eliminating a slow learning curve. They will also help you to determine if this will meet your needs. One final note: definitely order the Boss PSA-120S Power Adapter because this thing eats batteries like they were candy. Overall I am totally pleased with this pedal set-up, but understand that our needs were simple and straightforward.

It's everything I wanted
This compact pedal/stompbox/pc DAW interface/tuner/loop station is so far the best pedal investment I've made. It is simple to use right out of the box. Although I would like to be able to make changes on the fly in a more simple manner, I love it. I am still on the same set of batteries I started with a month ago. Compared to my Fender VG strat (loves to eat battereies) that is a miracle. I've yet to take advantage of the DAW interface or Looping feature.I am a fan of the SRV/Hendrix changy (Super Reverb/Ibanez Tube Screamer) tones and I get that nicely from this pedal. It fits neatly into my gig bag (fishing tackle bag) along with my cables and other gear. I love the Boost and Solo button as well. It really adds the umph when you need it. I like that Boss has a consistent interface across all of their products so you are automatically somewhat familiar if you have other Boss products. The only issue is that I wish the manual was more comprehensive.Overall, I love it!

Recommended especially for Linux
You can find very good reviews about this product that are focused on sound quality and performances, so I'll skip that part.Among the main pro's, for me, there's an excellent support under Linux. Several products like ME-25 Edit allow you to manage sound patches and fully configure the effects. With a decent kernel (i.e. >3.1 )The device is recognized automatically as USB audio device, and it is possible to record as well as playing back tracks directly to it (basically, headphones can be plugged to the multieffect, and you will hear the guitar and your MP3/YouTube audio as well).I definitely recommend this item.I had quite some fun with the phrase loop (38 sec.), the effect pedal and super-stack.The only minor flaw is the limited variation among the pre-defined sound patches, but you can easily fix that by downloading some of the patch libs available online.
