DW Drum Set, Brown (DDLG2215TB)

I have been a DW player since 2007. During that time I purchased a Collector's series DW set that was custom made for me. It was a great set and I still own that set. It has been the one set I use for gigging. I was interested in obtaining a 2nd set that I could have set up at home while my other one is ready for gigging. Knowing DW and there products I was the least bit surprised this set would be as amazing as it is. The drums pack a punch and the sound is absolutely deep, pronounced and warm. The only head I changed was the Bass drum head due to the fact I like a more muffled and wet sound. The Bass Drum is a canon.. The toms sing and the snare cuts very well. This will be my recording studio set. Everything about it sounds great. The drum set is probably one of the best sets I have bought besides my Collector Series. Buying this is definitely the right choice. If you don't have the funds for a high end DW set this is the one to go with. It is built well and custom made the way all drums should be. I could not be any happier. Now I have 2 great sets. Thank you Amazon.

I'm going to be very irritated if I just bought these and the 2 Tom Tom mounts are not included... I don't care how good they sound.

Well worh the money. Very nice, mellow sounding, toms. The kick is very warm and deep, though i would reccomend changing the better head to get a rockier feel. The snare has a nice cracking sound rather than punchy. Everything blends very well together. Arrived in 2 small boxes a day earlier than expected.

Ive had this kit for about 3 years now. They are the best sounding drums you can get for the money. Very easy to tune very warm and punching kick drum, toms resonate very nicely. I just wish it came the 6.5 snare instead of the 5.5 but no complaints with how it sounds it can be tuned high or low. Love this kit

Hopefully my review will help those that are considering purchasing this kit, which is part of the Design Series: I actually got these in the silver sparkle finish, and in short, these drums are absolutely excellent! Superb finish, craftsmanship, hardware etc. The snare absolutely cracks with a great snap to it, and the toms have an exceptional tone to them (I replaced the DW designed Remo heads with my favorite Remo Pinstripes). The kick drum also has a perfect blend of deep tone and punch. Yes, these are Tawainese made, but following DW's usual high standard, everything about this kit is top notch (except the price). The mount for the toms is a separate purchase (I got mine slightly used for $40), and I would recommend getting cases for these beauties if you plan to gig with them. I have had many low and high level kits by Pearl, Tama, and Ludwig, and these are up there with the best of them!!!
