Stop shopping- This is the one to get! (Trust me, I have eight children. I have suctioned some serious snot in my mom career.)
So you have a baby, and the nurse at the hospital lets you take home the traditional bulb syringe, and you think, "They must know what's best for clearing noses- It's a hospital for crying out loud!" And when your baby's nose is stuffed up or runny, you shove this thing up there, and attempt to extract mucus, with little to no real suction, while the poor kid screams as though you were pulling their brains out through their nose. You really only have one shot at this, because the insertion of the bulb makes the inside of the nose swell, which only further complicates the problem. You can't see into the bulb to see if anything has even been removed, nor can you adequately clean it out afterwards. What was the hospital thinking sending you home with one of these, and with no real instruction on how to use one?! It wasn't until I had my FOURTH child that a pediatrician told me that I was supposed to gently plug the OTHER nostril in order to get a good vacuum on the one I was suctioning. That would have been nice to know! You need one of these. I'll admit, there is a slight gag factor when thinking about slurping snot through a straw. Never fear, I have never had any even make it into the tube past the blue chamber, and I have used the snot out of this thing. (Please don't pull it out and use it in front of company. Other's probably aren't interested in watching.) Here's why you should buy this for everyone you know who has a baby or toddler: It really works. You will be amazed at your stupendous snot sucking prowess. The soft tip forms a good seal on the outer edge of the nostril, and is non-invasive. Your kid will likely still protest, but won't actually be sustaining injury to their nasal cavity. It is easy to clean. I typically just remove the tip, pinch it open, rinse it out, air dry. Storage. It comes with a case. Remove the insert, and you can fit a bottle of Little Noses saline drops in with it. (You'll want to have this to help when baby's boogers are dry. Put a drop or two in each nostril and wait a minute before suctioning.) This brand is cheaper, and better made. It doesn't come apart during use like some other brands, doesn't require you to buy filters, and comes with an extra tip.

It Definitely Sucks! (And That's Great!)
For the price, this little sucker can't be beat! It works like a great little excavator in my kid's nose even while she is squirming and screaming like I'm trying to kill her! My only complaint (And a big warning for anyone sucking out boogies!) is that as you're using it, the seal that keeps the boogers from going up the tube to your mouth pops up after it gets filled past a certain point, so you have to keep a close eye on it unless you want to have a very traumatic experience! Also, another minor complaint, is that it's a WEE bit difficult to clean, only because I don't like having to physically touch boogies while I lift up the seal to clean it out, other than that, it works like a booger charm! Good luck and much love, ladies and gents!

This thing is the best!
This thing is awesome! Iβm a mom of 3 and have had 2 nose fridas. After losing the second, I thought Iβd try a cheaper option and was pleasantly surprised to find I like the Great Aspiration Nose Cleaner even better. I prefer the soft tip on this as opposed to the hard tip on the nose fridaβ much gentler on babyβs nose! Equally effective and easy to clean, I just always make sure I clean it directly after use and let air dry before putting back in case. Would buy again and highly recommend!!

Works well, even with uncooperative little ones.
Love these for clearing baby noses! I've gotten two now, one for my toddler and one for my infant (19 months apart). We used to have one with a similar basic design from Walgreens, but it often came apart while you were trying to get at a wiggly little kid's nose. This stands up to the challenge far better and does a great job clearing stuffy noses. The tips are easy to clean and the filter flap contains snot well. The only time I've ever had anything get past is when it was really runny liquid: my newborn was constantly getting milk in his nose/sinuses and sometimes when I cleared it out there would be some milk in the tube. I wouldn't expect an assembly like this to stop such a thin liquid so I don't consider it a fault, just something to be aware of if you deal with milk-nose a lot.

Not bad for the price
OK so first things first. .. always clean a product before use. I know tons of people have an issue with the taste of rubber but if you clean it first that will go away. I used this product on my four month old twins and they thought it was hilarious. So did my mom when she walked in to see me sucking up snot. This product has been effective for me so far. All I caution is don't suck to hard because there could be a possible boogie mishap. All in all I like the product and I like that this shield is cleanable. I would recommend this to a friend.

BEST PRODUCT EVER FOR BABIES -AND- ADULTS!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!! It arrived just in time for our entire household to come down with the croup. While my children struggled and writhed just from being restrained, it helped, and I could HEAR it. After struggling to blow my OWN nose, I resorted to trying it myself, putting one end in my mouth and the other in my nose. The result was the best thing in the world -- a clear nostril!! Absolutely swear by it. I even toss it in my purse and in the kids' overnight bag if they're going anywhere. I'm a little worried about the membrane breaking off, so I'm extra careful with it (Comes with an extra tip anyway) The case arrived broken, but I don't care. 5 stars!!!

I can't say enough good things about this product
I can't say enough good things about this product. My child was born with Cleft Lip and Palate so I have to suction his nose out A LOT to keep him from aspirating on mucus or food. I was a bit concerned that due to his lack of palate I wouldn't be able to get suction. No problems at all! Not to mention whenever I came near him with one of the bulb aspirators he would freak out. With this product he doesnt cry at all. This is a must have aspirator! Very easy to clean and use. If you are worried about the fact that your mouth is what generates the suction don't be. There is no way any of the gunk in your childs nose would be consumed!
