Can I pinch your cheeks?
Omgosh this thing is so adorable…if it had cheeks, I would pinch them! I’ve made so many different types of cauliflower rice in here and I am officially sold on that hippy diet stuff. I neeed to be skinny lol. I made Mexican rice with cauliflower rice instead, tomato juice, garlic, onions, bouillon, butter, etc. and cooked the living heck out of it and VOILA! It didn’t taste diet. It was lovely. Healthy food doesn’t have to taste like “if hell had a flavor”. Trust me. This is easy and foolproof. Perfect for one or two people.

Not as fast as claimed, but does a good job cooking rice worry-free
So far I have only made regular long grain enriched white rice in it. I plan on trying Basmati rice next.Pros: The size is perfect for one person in a small place although it can serve two people as well.It doesn't burn the rice. I have had a few of these types of rice cookers and they usually burn rice.Cons: It is not as fast as claimed (it is claimed it can cook rice in less than 25 minutes). It takes about 35 minutes to cook one cup of regular rice ad about 25 minutes for half a cup. However, it's main functions is "set and forget" I think so one can do other things while it is cooking rice.No matter how much you rinse the rice, it still foams up when cooking to the point it comes out of the lid, but doesn't spill over.Getting rice out after cooking is a challenge. The pot is extremely light and moves a lot when trying to scoop out rice. It is also very hot so you can't hold it from moving with one hand unless you use an oven mitt or something.I have a new induction burner that would cook rice faster, but not worry-free as with this unit.

Great for the money!
I really like this rice cooker. It's the perfect size for two people. It cooks the rice perfectly but if you leave it in the warming position after it finishes cooking, the rice on the bottom is a little crisp.

Great addition to our kitchen appliances
I always thought all rice cookers were huge. Decided to search for 'small' and low and behold this came up. Reason for buying: Mr. Wonderful schooled me years ago that you can cook rice like pasta, i.e.: a method where the pan/rice is never scorched. I won't use 'microwavable' rice packets as that can kill nutrients in the rice, and started to ponder what we were doing draining all that water the rice boiled in. That prompted my search. This thing is pretty great. Comes with a recipe booklet and measurements for various types of rice, and adds quinoa. The one thing missing for instructions wild rice, which I love.Don't be confused like I was with the 'bouncy' action of the pot when it's empty. Once you add the rice and water the until sinks into place. The times noted in the booklet are on spot. The rice doesn't come out over-cooked, or under-cooked. Added bonus: it's perfect if you intend to use the rice in a casserole or fried rice dish. The unit is very quiet. Over all, I recommend and if I had to I'd purchase again. Perfect for a household of 2.

Better than expected!
When I first opened the package I thought for sure this rice cooker would be too small for 2 c (cooked) rice but gave it a try. It was great! I don't imagine it will last years and years but it is sturdier than you think. The instructions (in English) are easy to read and follow. There is a nice chart for the rice to water ratio for whatever type of rice you are cooking. I was the instructions did not clarify whether or not the water you add should be cold (but cold was implied as it did not specify it to be hot). However, I used boiled water, brown Jasmine rice, a pinch of salt and the rice cooker shut off when the rice was done - which was only half the time in the chart. I like this little hack for speedy rice. I also like that I can just make the rice with cold water if I have the time. The cooker has no fancy controls - just on and off (the keep warm function when the rice has finished cooking is automatic. I have to say I recommend this little pot and for the price it's a great value.
