Affordable hotspot considering satisfying speeds in both Europe and USA (T mobile)
Tried it in both US and Switzerland. The download speed was over 100 Mbps with my regular T mobile line. The download and the upload data rates with Swiss operator Sunrise are around 50 Mbps both. Very satisfied with the stability of the connection. With moderate mixed use of texting, uploading/downloading photos and web surfing; the battery lasts a bit more than 4 hours. Be aware that this unit does not support the band 20 (the 800 MHz low frequency hence the long range) for Swiss LTE, but supports the other two high-frequency LTE bands (3 and 7). This might be a reason for lower data rates in Swiss than the ones in US. However, I did not observe a single glitch in my car even when passing through Swiss motorway tunnels.

Bad product with no help or customer service
I put an AT&T SIM in this. Got password set. App intended for product showed signal coming in but went trying to connect a device it said connected but no internet. I am tech savvy and tried everything. Called manufacturer USA location and was told they have no information for it. Referred me to a different place, called the number and got a recording first in what I'm guessing was Chinese, then English telling me that number was no good.I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. Also please note there was a plethora of posts online of people having issues. I should have done my research prior to purchase, but to my own fault didn't.Summary: bad product with no tech support available that I could find.

Works Well
I bought this hot spot to allow me to monitor my home's temperature and security sensors when I leave my New England home in the winter for warmer climes (this allows me to substitute pay-as-you-go cellular service for my expensive internet). The Huawei E5573Cs-509 was a little difficult to set up (instructions are terrible, but there is sufficient information included to allow a knowledgeable person to get it working). I found that its Wifi router has good range (not quite as good as my main Asus router, but good enough to reach all my sensors) and the AT&T cellular reception is as good as my phone. I leave it plugged in all the time (battery life is not great) and, after a couple of days, service has been perfect (no resets required). We had an electrical storm last night which interrupted power for a few minutes, and the battery carried the unit through the outage without a glitch. My cellular data-only plan from FreedomPop gives me 200MB of free data per month with overages at 2.5 cents per MB; I figure I'll be spending less than $10/month instead of $90/ month for internet while I'm away! I'd give this product five stars if it had better set-up instructions.

Had it up and running in less than 5 minutes at home.
Network: US T-mobile. I plan on taking this camping in RV this week. We will be on outer skirts of decent signal. I bought the dual MIMO TS9 external antenna setup to place outside my tin can travel trailer. I will update on how it pulls in signal or not with external antennas.EDIT: It worked while camping with the external antennas albeit with some trial and error. Service with our cellphones was very sporadic- even outside trailer. I ended up placing unit on our car roof with antennas where I was able to get two bars and LTE lock. We were able to stream Netflix but used it mostly for work laptop.

Working as a signal booster
I am on Google Fi, just at the edge of my service area. At home, some calls drop, and it takes about 5 minutes to load the weather channel on my phone. Enter this great little MiFi device -- what a game changer! It concentrates the signal to such a degree that I can watch videos on my laptop. I had no problem getting it to work with the Google Fi data-only SIM. HIghly recommend.

Poor signal
I purchased this to take with me on a trip and use my T-Mobile signal, however, the device appeared to have poor cell reception. I had full bars on my phone, while the hotspot had only 2 bars. This difference in quality could also be felt in the speed of the device, as my phone pulled down 70Mbps and this device provided me with just 10Mbps. The band my phone was connected to appears to be supported by the hotspot, so I am unsure of the cause of these issues.

Great little device.
Works great and easy to use. Just insert a SIM card and turn it on. WiFi password is on the inside. Used it for three weeks in France. Picked up a SIM card at the airport and I was working.Battery life could be better but I carry a battery for charging me cellphone, just left the hot spot connected to the battery and put both in my back pack.
