Don't buy unless you have experience.
So, bought this and the was basically no wind for two months. Weird. Now that there's wind, I regret my purchase. Either too much wind or not enough. Not sure if it's kite design or mother nature. If you don't have the perfect area to fly this in, don't buy it.We have 22 acres. Half of that is grassy field. Either I'm being pulled over or the kite lifelessly falls to the ground. In the same session. I thought our huge field would be perfect. But because there's trees way on the other side of the neighbors property the wind gets disrupted causing inconsistent wind. I guess. So, IMO, don't buy this because you think it might be fun. Buy this because you've flown this kind of kite before and know where to fly it.

Stable and easy to fly in low wind
I got the Synapse 200. It is great! It flies well in low/ unsteady wind. It did not immediately stall when the wind died down. It is very stable. It performed well in stronger winds as well. It’s a very different feel than framed stunt kites. The Synapse is a good fit for beginners or intermediate flyers.

Great kite with a little bit of pull!
Had this kite for about a month now and it is an awesome kite to fly. The quality is great and you can crash it without worrying about damage. When the wind comes up it can pull pretty hard.

Go fly a kite!
These kites are amazing! been flying the sport kites for years and decided to try the parafoil kite. I started with the prism model 140 and recently upgraded to the 200. These kites are fun, fast and loaded with plenty of pull with steady and strong wind turbulence. The stronger the wind, the stronger the pull and the more work out youll get. After a good 15-20 minutes flight on the Prism 200, I say it is equal to a one good workout! For the 140, my daughter at age 6 can fly with some assistant at lower wind factors. The materials and quality of the kite, out of 5 star I give a 4.5. The kite overall did meet my expectations in design and performance. I highly recommends these kite for anyone who woulld like to explore in this terrritory. Go fly a kite!

Kite assembly was complicated by a pre-broken line - used Kite?
I own a number of framed Prism stunt kites, as well as a number of parafoil kites from other companies, but this Synapse 200 is my first Prism parafoil kite. Unfortunately, assembly was complicated by a broken line. The lines were pre-attached to the bridle and the manner in which the lines were wound suggested it had been flown, particularly as the line appears to have broken under strain. I suspect it may have been a return that was not properly inspected. The quality of the kite otherwise looks good, but I've given it only 2 stars due to the broken line and the inability to contact the seller directly to arrange for a new line. I've spliced the broken line and re-sleeved the end to adjust the length, However, I ordered a new kite a new line set, and I'd like Prism to deliver on that order.I'm updating the review after having it our twice. Wind conditions on the first day were on the bottom end of the wind range. The Synapse 200 flew ok, but had a tendency to fold up out on the edges of the wind. The next day had 15 mph winds, but they were variable in direction. If it got caught on the wrong side of the wind, it would fold up and generally not recover. For comparison purposes I also flew my HQ Symphony Speed 2.0 and my ITW Bulldog II. The Symphony Speed 2.0 has a higher aspect ratio and is not surprisingly faster, and it pulls a bit less than the Synapse. However, the Speed 2.0 is also much better mannered than the Synapse in variable winds. It's much less prone to folding on the edges of the wind zone, will stay inflated much better in light air, and if it does collapse it can usually be popped open by taking out the slack and snapping the lines. Not so for the Synapse. The ITW Bulldog II is one of my most reliable kites. With an aspect ratio similar to the Synapse it has similar speed and similar pull, but it's also rock solid and much more stable. It is also much better manner when caught out on the edge of the wind zone with a wind shift. In short of the three kites I own in the 2 meter size, the Symphony Speed 2.0 and the ITW Bulldog 2 are both better mannered, more precise, easier and more fun to fly over all. If you want a higher aspect ratio, faster kIte, I recommend the Speed 2.0. If you want a lower aspect ratio kite with more pull, I recommend you get an ITW Bulldog II. Based on this klte I suggest Prism stick with what they are good at and avoid foil kites.

Great 2 Line kite!
Just got back from the inaugural flight. 6-8mph breeze. Launches easily and immediately climbed to a nice height where I began to understand the touch required to perform basic stunts. Very responsive! I could fell a nice pull when the wind peaked at 10mph. Can’t wait to fly this in stronger wind! Faster response than my Prism stunt kites and more forgiving. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to learn how to fly 2 Line kites.Ok, finally flew in 8-11 mph onshore breeze. Tons of fun! Really nice pull and could see the fun this kite packs. Added a 30’ tail and it cut the speed and pull down considerably (half?).

I'm very satisfied
I brought this kite because I was getting bored with my single line kites. I own a traditional stunt kite, but I haven't had much success learning to fly it. I realize now that I don't live in The best conditions. I live in the middle of a large city. I fly kites in neighborhood rec centers with football fields. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to fly this kite because the instructions said the best conditions were at the shore. I have no interest in trekking that far to fly a kite. There was no assembly with the kite. You just have to unfold it and roll out the lines. I was surprised that this kite was much easier to fly than my tradional stunt kite. The instructions were right. Its more difficult to learn if you don't have a wide open space with no trees or buildings, but it's not frustratingly difficult. I still had fun with it.The kite is also very durable. I crashed it a few times. It's good to know I don't have to worry about a frame breaking.

I would recommend this for beginners and kids
This kite is well made. It has good stitchings and is ready to fly right away. I was however hoping for a bit more "action". This Synapse is the biggest they have and I was hoping to really get pulled over by this kite if I wasn't paying attention. Okay - I'm a big guy (6'7" at 230lbs) and have been kiting pretty much my entire life but still, the kite did not give me the thrill I was looking for (so I now bought a 16 meter kite surfing kite LOL).This Synapse 200 does respond very well. It is incredibly easy to get it to take off. It is actually harder to keep it on the ground than it is to get it to fly. So if you are looking to getting into kiting, try this one! It will not disappoint you. I used it with my beach cart and winds of about 18mph and I was rolling over the beach at pretty much running speed.I would recommend this for beginners and kids. They will love this kite. If you are experienced with kites, you will want something a bit more challenging.

My first parafoil kite and I love it.
Fun, portable, almost indestructible, and a crowd pleaser are just a few attributes of this kite. Pretty easy to fly even for a beginner in stunt kites. Can have quite a pull in stronger winds so be ready to hold on tight and enjoy.

Great kite
I bought this for my son-in-law, he’s into anything that has to do with flying. Needless to say he loves this kite.

This thing is freaking awesome on a nice breezy day
This thing is freaking awesome on a nice breezy day. Nothing like walking down the beach a few hours flying this. The tail makes it more fun and a little less responsive.
