My new favourite jacket
I love this jacket, lovely classic style with a subtle but not over the top military look. I removed the liner for summer but might need it if we get a harsh winter. The quality is absolutely top notch, made to last.

Great jacket
Excellent jacket but be mindful of sizes and how u want to wear it with or without the liner , im 6 foot 2 and 16 stone and medium is perfect without the liner.

Giant indeed!
As others have said, this is a BIG coat! When worn with the liner, it is quite bulky (and heavy, almost 2kg) but extremely warm. From previous comments, order a size down from your normal size, the L fitted me perfectly even though I'm normally an XL. The liner is easy to remove, and could almost be worn as a jacket by itself, if only they had added pockets. Missed opportunity! This was heavily discounted when I bought it, around £63, which is great value, and the jacket is one of the better M65 clones on the market. Not sure I'd pay full price though.Things that I like:-Heavy duty fabric, keeps wind out.Main zip pull is on the left, as it should be for Gents coats.Deep pockets, holds keys etc safely.Seams with bellows to allow for movement, especially at the shoulders.Fully concealed hood, no bulk in the collar.Adjustable cuffs, easy to tighten.Things that I don't like:-No internal pocket for a wallet.Strange shaped cuffs that have to be rolled inside with a velcro tab (not to adjust, they just have an odd pointed shape with no real function that I can see) .Main zip should be longer, and have a second pull from the bottom.Liner should be wearable on its own, but it doesn't have any pockets!Drawstrings get in the way (I pulled them out, not really necessary).Lower flap pocket openings are a little tight, especially if wearing gloves.

Amazon resale - recommended !
So happy I took the plunge . I'm a shade off 5' 10" , 40" waist . I ordered the large in black and am really with the fit . It's a heavy jacket but it feels great . With the lining in you get a chest like Thor , but movement is a bit restricted . Really warm though . Shame it's not waterproof , but you can always spray it with something . A lot of these get sent back due to sizing issues and for that reason I used Amazon resale . I got my perfect jacket for just 52 quid . Nothing wrong with it at all ! Go for it !

Fit was perfect
I pondered over the size for about a week. I couldn't tell myself I was getting into a Medium so went for the Large, more worried about the "Orangutan " arms length. But it was absolutely fine. There are some weird triangle bits you can velcro back into the sleeves so I think maybe that was factored into the measurement. The quality is very nice, though a bit crumpled when you unpack. No stripes on the arms of the navy jacket. The side pockets are a bit small but the front pockets are decent. I'm 5.9.46" chest, it's snug but not tight.185lbs, 13½ stone for the Brits. I'm sat down and it's not tight, pulling or uncomfortable. This is gonna be warm!I got it based on a 2nd hand German tank suit I had years ago. It was off the wall warm. Be warned, with the liner ( I won't be removing it) it maybe too warm unless it's really cold.Hope this helps as some of the reviews helped me.

Great quality jacket
Great quality jacket and versatile as the lining can be removed to make it a summer jacket.

Great quality, authentic looking jacket
I’d been looking at the Brandit Giant M65 for ages, I’d always wanted a field jacket and the images of this one looked spot on for my tastes with a great authentic worn look olive colour, not too over the top as if you were pretending to be in the military but just the right fashionable military look. Having searched the internet for more images of the jacket to help sway me, I was put off by the number of people modelling the jacket which appeared to be baggy and ill fitting, so I left it. Flash forward another year and I get the bug to buy a field jacket with the Brandit the best looking choice. Most reviews say to size down so I took the plunge and bought it. I’m 6 feet tall, athletic build 170/175lbs about 80kg and I got a size small. The Jacket looks flipping amazing! Snug and flattering with the lining in, still room for light layers, possibly a jumper which you wouldn’t need because the jacket is incredibly warm. More roomy without the liner but still looks great and plent of adjustability. Sleeves are just the right length when the triangular section is folded up and you can adjust the tightness with Velcro. I showed my wife the jacket and she was very impressed, stating that it looks like a £300 coat! I paid £76. The quality is fantastic at this price level, sturdy zips and poppers, even to the smallest details like the buttons that hold the liner in at the neck. I look and feel awesome wearing it. Job done Brandit 👍I don’t quite understand the ‘size up’ reviews. Maybe some reviewers aren’t being honest with themselves about what size they really are 😉

M65 Jacket (XL)
Good size, I ordered my usual size of XL & it fits well.Outer shell is thiner than expected & some of the stitching is missing in places but only minor & doesn't affect jacket. Not as robust or as hard wearing as I hoped for as outer shell is thinner than expexted. If you want a hard-wearing & robust military jacket then you go for ex-military clothing. All in all it is a nice looking jacket but designed more around fashion than durability.I got this when it was on offer & glad I didn't pay full price .
