VC-060 Juice Saver, 20 oz, Clear

If you thought this review was helpful in any way please leave a comment, but above all mark this as helpful below!I had bought a different brand of this same type of container a while back for juicing carrots since the juice turns brown after a few hours if you don’t vacuum seal it. I really liked the first one but was unable this time to find the same brand so I decided to try this one as it is EXACTLY that same look as my other except a different color although a few bucks more. This one works great for my carrot juice. It keeps juice fresh for at least 3 days if not longer. It tastes and looks fresh after 3 days though, I haven’t had a reason to test for longer but get the feeling it would hold up if kept longer. Carrot juice generally stains everything but this container does not stain and comes clean even after days and the seals all can be removed to thoroughly clean. The vacuum pump is easy to use, I take a cup out at a time and reseal with just a few pumps. I love this container but only wish it came in larger sizes. It holds about 4 cups.

I juice greens every other day and use this jar to keep my juice fresh. Works really well.

I recently started juicing after watching the Fat, Sick etc. etc. movie on Netflix. I wanted something that would let me make all my juice in the morning and save the rest without losing nutrients over the course of the day. That way I only have to clean the juicer once a day. I can't possibly tell you if the nutritional value of my juice remains intact over the 8 hours or so that I store it in this, but I can tell you that it doesn't taste quite as good as it does when I drink that first glass immediately after juicing it. Still, it is a time and effort saver. I also bought the larger containers to keep my fruits and vegetables fresher while they sit around waiting to be juiced through the week. I can tell you that for that purpose these containers DO lengthen the shelf life of my produce.

I read a few reviews here that provided poor reviews. This worked great and is a quick easy way to vacuum seal anything you want to place in this container. This is more square vs. a cylinder and is like a 20oz tall container. The top seals great. Easy to clean. Not sure why some other person had mold, but you can easily take out the rubber seals, wash them, dry and reassemble. If you have mold, you need to wash your stuff better. There are no issues if you simply take the time. Also, getting the seals back into place are easy. If you are in a hurry, yeah, maybe you will not have them set right. I have had zero problems. I love these and wish I could buy more sizes without having to buy the pump every time.

I love this company's product. I think I own 9 of them now -- Six 26oz "drink" size containers and three that are large enough to store a head of lettuce or cabbage in. After years of being washed in the dishwasher or storing food in the freezer, they show no signs of wear. My only gripe is when they say "just 6 pumps." I've never believed that. Maybe on a completely full container, that might be true. But I'm usually over 25 pumps to pull a decent vacuum on these things.And your food keeps fresh forever! I routinely keep lettuce for a month and a half, and it's as fresh after that time as when I bought it at the store. I HIGHLY recommend these containers.

I like these containers and added the most recent purchase to my collection. That said, my primary complaint is that cleaning the lids to eliminate bacteria, stains, and whatever is sometimes impossible. If you purchase, don't expect to be able to clean completely. I like the containers and the vacuum works great.

I bought a few of these at bed bath and beyond and loved them however amazon has a better price. They are very good for fruits/veggies and fresh juices. They double the life of my foods and that is a major thing when you are eating fresh and can't always run to the store.I do not like that the parts are $5 then an additional $6 for shipping because that's almost the price of a whole new bottle and I lose them quite often to my garbage disposal.Overall they are amazing and I will continue to buy them.

I purchased this for juicing in the home. Fresh juicing opens the fruit or vegetable to the cellular level, which means the nutritional value begins to diminish almost immediately. The big enemy of the fresh juice is oxygen which cause oxidization. This is a perfect solution for short term storage (24 hours or so) of fresh made juices to preserve the most nutritional value. Now I'll make a large batch of juice and save half for later. It cuts down on prep and cleanup.
