U.S.A. Made - PEX GUY Aluminum 4 ft U-Channel Heat Transfer Plates for 1/2" PEX - Radiant Heating (100pc/box)

Upgraded an existing floor heating system by adding the heat transfer plates. The installed pex was not in full contact with the underside of an existing floor. After installation, the customer informed us that the floor was noticeably warmer by the following day and happy with the upgrade. This in turn this will allow the heating system to operate way more efficiently and the price is right.

Lots of competitors advertised and a range of prices. Was worried that this economical product would have edges that would have burrs that could cause problems where pex "enters" and "exits" plate; however, all the plates had very nice edge finish and I have zero worry of long-term abrasion on pex. Material thickness was not measured; but, it was perfect for attaching under a wood floor with basic 5/8" staples. Very nice product...will buy again.

Easy to clip on pipe and install. I use a cordless electric stapler with HD staples and they install easily.Follow the proper installation process and have a great end product.There are cheaper products out there but these are the best I have found.

They work, easy to cut and install. Did a retro fit for a house that I built two years ago. I can definitely feel the heat in the floors better now.

So far, this is doing an excellent job moving the heat from the pex tubes to the subfloor. Definitely worth adding to the heating system.The packing for shipping on theses were one of the best I've seen in a long while. We live in a remote area and they travelled in the mail for a good distance and not one was damaged. The company did not do an excessive job packaging, but with a little effort and common sense, they protected the product. Thanks for that!

Good fit. Pex stays put. We are building a house, and putting this over the subfloor as pictured, then topping with hardibacker cement boards, then flooring (tile or engineered hardwood).I like that is is made in America.

These went right up and had excellent heat transfer - they are a bit heavier metal so a standard staple gun will not work - not rugged enough to go through the metal into the plywood.

I recently bought two boxes of these aluminum transfer plates. They arrived at my doorstep after about two days, and the boxes weighed maybe 45 pounds. The plates are what you'd expect. They are stamped sheets of aluminum, with a channel for 1/2" pex tubing. Installation using these will take a little longer, as you have to lay the pex under the plate (as opposed to the kind that snap into the plate). But at a third the price as some other plates, this is an economical choice.With that in mind, nearly 100% of the pex will be in contact with the plate, or with the subfloor. A standard pneumatic stapler should have ample power to affix these plates to the subfloor. The aluminum is only about 3x thicker than a soda can.If you're like me, you wanted radiant floors, but dont want to spend an arm and a leg on these transfer plates. You really cant go wrong with these.
