Review: So cute and easy - Love this Review: Cute big Fred! No needles - Ok, so I love the Woobles! Their kits taught me to crochet and the finished products are adorable! I’ve done one Extra Squeezy, and lots of regulars and then couldn’t resist trying the Knit Loopable Fred. It is as with all Woobles kits, beginner friendly, having detailed online video tutorials for each step. The loopable kits use special yarn that has pre-“knitted” loops that you feed through each other resulting in a vertical V pattern that looks like knitting rather than crochet stitches. The yarn is high quality and durable. I think all the kits are valueable because they are all inclusive and have helpful instructions. The thing I liked slightly less about this kit compared to the regular crochet Woobles is that this “skill” is really dependent on the special yarn. The spikes and arms are pre made so you don’t learn these kinds of techniques (they appear to be regular crocheted. So you don’t learn to knit with knitting needles. And I don’t know that this skill is very transferable like the crocheting. It still an awesome time, super fun, and easy to do. It could be great for a younger kid (5-7yo) that finds the full coordination for crochet needle holding challenging. But I imagine you would still need to attend to the pattern reading and stitch checking etc. Also great for Wooblers if you want a Big size Fred (to go with Disco Fred, pastel Fred, Flan Fred… haha!)

Cute kit!
I was so excited when I saw this new Woobles Loopables come out! I received a different Wooble for a holiday present, Harry Potter, and really enjoyed working on it. My experience with the first one was that it was fun, the instructions were good, and that I had to pull stitches out and redo them a few times. It provided an excellent learning experience in beginning crochet. So I had very high hopes for this new set. I ordered Pierre the Penguin because he is a cutie pie, and I love the color. This set does not come with the crochet hook because you are hand looping on already looped yarn. This sort of reminds me of some craft kits I had as a kid where you use sort of mostly pre-made things to make a craft. It also comes with the pre-made little arm flappers and beak. And of course it has eyes and stuffing and a little needle to sew items on. I do think this particular kit would be appropriate for younger kids who wanted to try Woobles. Because lots of kids are good at crafts and able to follow instructions, I think using this kit along with the tutorial would be excellent for grade school kids. For an adult, I like the regular kit better because this comes together much more quickly and is less of a learning experience than the regular kit. While you do learn a little bit about how the loops interact, you don't learn as much about the rest of the way items get made. The kit itself is really well put together and has high quality content. The yarn is really nice and the eyes go on easily and I like the sturdy needle. It is nice for younger kids that the little additions were already made. That was not the case with the other kit I worked on, but I prefer for myself to make everything. Actually, I wish that there was a Woobles kit that would be more of an intermediate beginner and actually teach people to make the magic circle. That would be an excellent learning experience. The Woobles step by step online instructions and videos are excellent and I think this high quality kit maker could really tackle that and put out a super kit. After enjoying this kit and really having fun with Pierre the Penguin, I think it would make an excellent gift for lots of friends and kids. It provides a time for relaxation and enjoyment and in the end you have made the cutest little fella! I really like Woobles and I am excited to see what kits they come out with next!

Another Fantastic Wooble Kit
The Woobles have done it again with their amazing, beginner-friendly kits! The kit starts with high quality materials that make the process go smoothly. But the real highlight is the video tutorials it comes with. This is where the premium price for a Wooble kit comes into play. The instructions are simple and clear and you can go at your own pace and pause and rewind and view each step one at a time. So if you're someone that doesn't think they're crafty, even you can figure out how to do this craft! It was a lot of fun learning to crochet using just fingers to loop and make a cute little bunny! I highly reccomend this for anyone wanting to get into the craft and needs a starting point!

Cute beginner crochet kit but the videos move a little fast if you're totally new
I got this Woobles kit for Pierre the Penguin because I’m a complete beginner and hoped starting with the finger-crocheting would be a good way to ease into learning real crocheting someday. The loopable yarn is super easy to work with and the pre-started piece takes a lot of the guesswork out, which I really needed. It’s been a fun little project so far and it's cool to see the penguin starting to take shape even though I’m not done yet. The step-by-step videos are helpful but they move a little fast and were hard for me to follow at times, so I had to pause and rewind quite a bit, as another reviewer mentioned. Still, it’s coming together okay and I’m glad I gave it a try as my very first crochet attempt. I’ll update once I'm finished but so far it’s been a nice relaxing craft.

Another quality product by The Woobles!
I tried my first Woobles kit this summer. At the time, the Loopables line had not yet been released, but the beginner kits were a wonderful tool. As someone that has never been “crafty”, I essentially learned to crochet because of this brand and have now moved onto more complex projects. When I saw the Loopables kits, I knew I had to pick one up to do with my niece. She is 8 years old and loves everything cute and girly, so naturally I chose the adorable white bunny kit. Like Woobles, this kit comes with everything that you need to complete the project, including step-by-step videos, PDF instructions, and all of the yarn and other accessories. I feel like this is a great value because a true beginner would need to buy all the tools and supplies just to get started. This kit does not use a crochet hook, so all of the crocheting is done with your fingers! It takes a bit to get used to, but the videos are essential and easy to rewind if you miss something or mess up. I would recommend this kit for slightly older kids; my niece is very artsy, but this was her first time using any kind of yarn for a craft and it was a bit confusing for her at first. I don’t know if younger kids than this would catch on, but if your children are really good with following directions and being persistent, it might be a perfect entry level kit for them. Overall, I’ve been exceptionally pleased with every Woobles kit I’ve purchased and this one, while a bit of a different concept, is another amazing product from the brand.
