Exceptional Product
I wasn't in the market for a new mat, but I purchased a new launch monitor (Protee Vx) and I was having some trouble with the monitor picking up the ball. The company's help desk determined that my existing hitting mat was too white-ish for the monitor to distinguish between the ball and the mat (never would have guessed). Although the old mat (on the left) was similar in price originally, the new one (right), is darker, thicker, and exceptional in many other ways. I didn't realize how flat and hard the old one was until I stood on this one. Perhaps it's just something that has to be replaced periodically.

Durable hitting mat
This has been a great hitting mat and I recommend this product to anyone. I have took many many many swings on it and it seems really well made and shows no wear.

Takes A Lickin' - My Irons Keep On Clicken ! No Pain - My Gain!! And Yours
if you have the money, it is worth every dollar. i am 71 years old. had to lay off from golf for 11 years until this summer. i wanted to do 'all the right things. backyard net and hitting mat. didn't do any research. bought a popular mat for about $100. too many practice shots hurt: my wrists, elbows, and shoulders. i realized i better do some reading. i did. the country club elite has solved ALL of my previous pain problems from the very thin mat. . it has had at least two really really important affects: i can practice longer because my body parts do not get 'beat up. and i want to practice more for related reasons. it is also just 'cool' to walk onto the comfy mat. no signs at all that practice with irons will any any observable issues - scuffs, marks, etc. and if you are a cat lover, our rough and tough rescue cat loves to 'massage her 3/4" inch claws by digging away. absolutely no evidence of her shenanigan's. and she hangs out with me to chase balls and have fun. so glad i upgraded and the extra shekels to afford it. so again, if you have the dough, do waste a hundred or even 2 hundred until you are impervious to pain - and no one is. a great mat. it will keep me playing after 2 major back surgeries, a hip replace replacement, and currently to partial tears in 2 tendons in my left shoulder. i fear nothing!! until they tear - but it will not happen from contact with this mat!!

cushy!
the mat is thicker than any mat i've used at any golf range. The fact that i can put in a tee to hit a driver/3 wood is awesome. I don't like hitting of the rubber tees so this works great. the mat arrived in 2 days so shipping was prompt and speedy. I'm about 5'6 and it's comfortable for a driver, i don't feel like my feet are at the edges or anything.I noticed someone else stating that they had to wait over a week for it to flatten it out, so i put a large heavy box on it for a day with rubber side down and that took care of it. already hitting on it a day after receiving it.So far as they stated, no green marks left on the bottom of my irons. And the best thing is that if i hit fat shots, i know right away!

Great Mat
There are many mats out there to choose so it makes it a difficult decision. This mat was the perfect size...any smaller and you wouldnt have the correct feet placement. It has a nice thickness. The best feature is the ability to use regular tees anywhere on the mat...you can also use rubber tees in the holes provided. Have used it many times without any noticable wear and tear on the mat

Quality
The media could not be loaded. Here is the difference between a $100 mat and a $500 mat. In hitting practice I feel like it improved at least 80% of the golf club bounce when you hit back of the ball, you will lose a few yards of distance but you will keep the correct direction of the shot (I have a simulator to check it out)... it is a bit pricey!! Yes, but my arms, elbows, shoulders and neck... it is worth the expense.Update: In super slow motion, I hit it with the heel of the driver and you can see how it buries itself in the practice mat.

Very Realistic Driving & Practice Mat
This mat had very good reviews and looked interesting on the manufacturers website. I think that it is pretty pricey, but it is a good heavy mat at 4' x 5', that you can stand on for stability, and is realistic if you miss hit. This gives good feedback when you are practicing. I like that fact that you can use a short tee right in the grass and it also has holes and several options (heights) for practice mat tees and an adapter that acceptes a regular tee to use longer tees. I have a very small back yard and this is a great product when used with a net and I find myself practicing all the time now that I have it.
