A little too snug for shoes.
After reading previous reviews I'd thought I'd found an affordable compromise for snow boots for my 16 month old. It doesn't usually snow here but 3 or 4 times a year, so it would have been overboard for us to buy her some $40 boots. Then I found these, which other reviewers said were big enough to slip over her shoes.I got the medium size Toddler which says for sizes 5-7. My daughter wears a size 5 shoe so I figured we could fit her shoe in there too. I was wrong. We tried her tennis shoes, her thin boots, and her mary-janes wouldn't make sense. I'm a little disappointed and I do think the seller needs to re-figure the sizes. If you want to put this over your child's shoe, buy the next size up.Without the shoe however, this fits just fine on her foot and she did well walking around the house in it. The inside is fuzzy and seems thick enough that it will keep her warm.I would also like to add that i was almost turned off of this product at first because it looks like a horse hoof. However, once you get it onto your little one's foot and tighten the strap, its quite a cute little bootie. Now we're all ready to go- just waiting on a snowstorm.

Molehill booties vs. Stonz booties
Molehill booties:-warmer, due to thinsulate lining-foam sole (so probably warmer, but harder for my pre-walker to "walk" around in. The bootie kept shifting and he's stumble over the sides)-less expensive!Stonz:-seem thin, just a thin fleece lining and the nylon outer. I haven't had the chance to really try them for extended periods in the cold.-no extra padding in the sole. Probably not as warm as the Molehill, particularly if your child is walking, but my barely-walking child could not walk in the Molehill booties. Maybe if you had an older child that was more of an established walker the Molehill booties would be ok-I like the toggle at the top of the bootie vs the strap near the top for the Molehill. I think being able to cinch in the top will keep snow out better.-both seemed made of good quality material, and I don't necessarily see one lasting longer than the other.Ultimately we chose the Stonz for our son because they seemed to stay in place on his feet better with less sliding around when he was crawling around and standing up to walk a little. We also liked the cinch at the top better than the top closure on the Molehill Booties. We'll be interested to see what types of socks/shoes he needs to wear underneath to stay warm. We don't really want to spend the extra money on the linerz. If your kid is more of an established walker, he/she might appreciate the thicker sole of the Molehill booties. Or maybe they're just tough to walk in and are better suited towards non-walkers. The Stonz did appear to cinch better at the ankle and top and I think will be great for my son learning to walk this winter and rolling around in the snow!

Warm, waterproof & stays on busy toddler
°We live in northern MN with -20° being very common each winter.°These boots are wonderful. We had some heavy winter boots for our 18 month old, but he would kick them off because they were too heavy for him. °Honestly, I wish I could find these in my size. They're nice & light while still being warm & durable.°Our toddler's feet stay warm & dry in spite of the harsh weather conditions°I love that you can choose to have shoes or just socks inside the booties.°The velcro strap around the calf & elastic around the ankle keeps these secure on his feet & more difficult for him to rip them off.°We opted to buy the large, so that he would have plenty of room to grow & wear his shoes underneath when necessary.°Sizing: Purchased Large, medium would have fit better for our toddler shoe size 6.°Going larger means that sometimes the booties slip out of place so that he's walking on the sides of the shoes. I find no error with the product since we knowingly bought up a size to get longer use.

We love them but they did run small
We just took my 10 month old to the shoe store. They measured his feet and said he was a size 3, so I bought the infant size thinking they should fit fine, as they are up to size 4.5. But they were really small, he wouldn't stand and I found that he couldn't lower his heel all the way down into the boot. He has another pair of shoes that are a size 4 and he can slip right out of em because they are too big. So I have to believe that they run small and it is not an error in sizing on my part.Aside from that they are great. Easy to put on, stay on, and are warm. It was -2 degrees the day he wore them, and even though they were too small to wear correctly, they were used for transport and strapped on tight without causing him discomfort. We will continue to use them just to keep his feet warm until his new pair arrives. We plan to give his first pair as a gift since they really are great, just too small. If I find that he can't walk/stand in his new ones or something I will be sure to update my post. If this is all you see then it is safe to assume that the bigger pair worked great.
