iRobot Roomba e5 5134 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum

We have two cats and two dogs. Our house suddenly feels immaculate. We run it almost daily, and sometimes twice if we're doing both floors. Does a good job of navigating around dining room chairs, and makes it all the way around the house. Makes our hardwood shine when its done. Keep the cliff sensor clean and you wont have to worry about stairs.For super nerds: It works fine with home assistant after I followed the janky process with the nodejs tool in the home assistant docs.

This is a great little vacuum suction wise, but without a mapping feature it just wanders around your home aimlessly vacuuming along the way. Not really a good fit for open floor plans. Works best when you can close it off in a room w/ door closed and just let it loose. It will vacuum in a random pattern til all space is covered and look great. However, if you have an open room/floor plan type situation, then it will likely wander off into another room before it's done with the room you are on. In hindsight, I could have spent the same $$ or a little more and gotten something smarter and has mapping capacity. As far as I can tell, the only capability this has is to start it with Alexa. I am only moderately impressed.

This is our first Roomba and it sure wont be our last. for everyone who own pets it is a must have for it works miracles no more hair floating around the floor like if it was a hay ball in a ghost town. definitely it does help to have for every day when I arrive and clean dust bucket it has dog hair and light dust therefore I know its doing its job. plus the phone app is a nice and useful feature. very pleased with purchase. and last but not least transaction with seller was A+

I love this e5! It isn’t noisy as others have said. I often forget it’s cleaning its so quiet. I’d use it while the baby’s sleep, inher room. First cleaning is a little rough. It got the dog hairs up and left little dog hair turds around the house but after that, Mabel is wonderful on dog hair. Even does a great job on my heavy carpet and oriental rugs. Don’t worry about the fringe she will rauffle it but won’t suck it up. Even the bathroom floors. Easy to empty the dirt compartment. I’ve run it eight times now and recommend it to everyone, especially those with back or balance problems! Less expensive than a cleaning service... Got in November. It’s now the following March. Mabel has gone through two sets of rollers. Although dog hair is okay, long human hair gets wrapped around the rollers an because they are a soft rubber, it cuts right through them, then they don’t turn right and need to be replaced. They are not cheap! Getting the rollers back into the slots is a little tricky. A stronger roller that’s easier to install would make it easier. Also where she just zipped over the thresholds between carpets and hard floors she now perceives a drop off and stops? Not sure why. Still beats vacuuming myself as I am in a wheelchair.

I use the iRobot Roomba at home. We bring dried grass and dirt on our shoes into the house. It's not perfect but gets most of the dirt.

Not good value for cleaning

Let me start off by saying I only use it on my hardwood floors...First use, I was greatly disappointed, but didn't want to admit I wasted money. Second use, it got a little better... I started having hope for it. I only had to do a little spot cleaning. Third use, I was so happy she finally got it right and I was ready to tell everyone they had to go buy one! Fourth use, back to square one... major disappointment mixed with regret on how much money I spent.Knowing what I know now, I never would have bought it.
