Amazing kit!! Over the moon!! 😎
Absolutely amazing kit I have a 27 year old toyota trueno GTZ and the car is in fantastic condition but the steering wheel was bugging me like mad and due for a refurb. The steering wheel is an original momo toyota factory steering wheel which is very rare so there was no way I was going to replace it or even try to. I considered a recover but didn't fancy the prices nor the time it would take someone to do it for me so here's where the kit comes in. I've looked at this kit many times in the past and thought can I really be bothered to do all that work and will it last?. From start to finish an I took my time to achieve what i would call an outstanding result which took me just over 4 hours an that's including drying times in-between what ever coat I was doing or after cleaning each time. I let it air dry I didn't use a hairdryer I didn't want to damage any of the internal glue or foam. Make sure you follow the instructions properly and will will achieve amazing results I am over the moon. See before and after pics 😁 steering wheel was dry to the touch after 10 mins or so on each colour coat and after completing all the steps and 3 coats later I left it for 4 hours to dry before I handled it properly and I will leave it overnight before refitting, I will then apply a leather conditioner cream to protect it. Get this kit follow the steps properly and you will not be disappointed! Points to note: If you have big gouges or deep scratches on your steering wheel you'll need to buy a filler separately. Basic cracks and scratches can be sanded and the leather binder added to smoothen them out then I final sand with the 1200 minimises the marks to the eye it's pretty amazing how it works. I am very happy with the way it turned out an although it isn't absolutely perfect and small imperfections can still be seen up close i still think it adds to its character and age while still looking very impressive overall. It looks solid now to the touch an I believe after a leather conditioner is applied it will last many years to come 😎 Theres still loads left in the bottles, This kit in my book is Top notch and worth every penny. I highly recommend this product and it to top it off the service was fantastic and it was delivered in 24 hours! Thanks for reading and If you like this review please give it the thumbs up 👍🏻

It works
Bought this kit after watching a ton of YouTube videos about it. For £25 or so I didnt expect much, as my old BMW has 160k on the and this shows on the steering wheel. So the kit comes with all you need and instructions. I took the wheel out of the car for better access to the rear of the leather. So I started at the top of the instructions read them all the way through then started as per number 1. By the end of the instructions I had a BMW steering wheel that looked brand new and had absolutely brilliant colouring all over. You need to dab the colour on a little of a time and build up the colour layers. I used the wifes hair drier to speed thing up and again the instructions mention this can be done. After a few hours I refitted the wheel and let it settle for a couple of days. A week later I've treated it with a nice leather cleaner 'n' wax type product. And now its bettter than when I had the car with only 30k on the clock. Well worth the money but follow the instructions impeccably. There was little in the way of grain left on my leather so the lack of patterning wasnt an issue. If you're desperate for having the original grain and pattern in the leather this product may not be the one for you. But it did an A+ job for me.

Great kit
ordered this to repair my grandland heated steering wheel. mine was peeling (possibly from the heat) and was particularly poor (see pics). took me about 30-40 minutes and the finish is actually really good. whilst its not perfect/factory, im really happy and is well worth the money. 5*

Does the job but the result is not as new
Overall works OK, it does repair the leather, fills imperfections and restores the appearance. However the surface feels slightly harsh on touch — it’s a bit plasticky, hard and doesn’t feel like leather anymore. Which probably is expected, but I think needs to be mentioned. Also the kit misses some important items that you will likely need in the process: - cleaner (there is a degreaser, but it is applied after sanding) - masking tape - a pair of gloves Masking is absolutely necessary as paint is supposed to be applied by sponge and it’s quite tricky to get into corners and close to surrounding trim parts, and it is not even mentioned in the instruction. Gloves are also essential as the paint is pretty hard to wash off from hands. Apart from that, this is good kit for the fair price.

Its a good kit for DIYers
I followed the 5 step process after watching the manufacturers YouTube video and it tuned out well. Although this kit leaves a more textured finish which is due to sponge applicators and the bubbles it creates, you can buy a better applicator sponges for a smoother OEM feel. Nonetheless I’m happy with the way it turned out.

A suprisingly good result!
I don't always leave reviews but I was really impressed with this product. Take your time with the preparation, and be patient between each stage and the results are suprising. The final finish is matt in appearance and looks far better than the shiny almost sticky mess that I started with. The pictures attached are before, during and after.

Works really well. Made my steering wheel almost new again
I'm quite impressed. Just like ever leather wheel, they go from matte with a great texture when new, to shiny, to eventually the protective surface starting to rub off and you start to feel the leather grain. I know from experience that past that point you start to wear through the leather. Mine had just entered the phase where the grain was starting to come through and I wanted to try to preserve it. Watched a few videos to see if this kind of stuff was worth it and there were a lot of positive outcomes so I gave it a shot. Did a really thorough cleaning, a light sanding all over the wheel to try to disturb the surface of the leather in hopes that the dye would soak in and then followed the instructions otherwise. A little bit of leather binder on the areas that the grain was starting to show through and then went to dyeing. I put about 4 coats on over the course of the day when I had a free minute from work and dried each one with a heat gun. It turned out great! I don't know about the longevity of it but after that last coat it was very uniform and pretty close to the original texture of a steering wheel. It's not quite as soft and in the areas where I was too generous with the dye it feels a little rougher than stock but I"m assuming that will die down a little as I use the wheel. Here's hoping it lasts a few years. If I remember I'll come back and update but so far it's worth the time and money if your wheel is still structurally ok but just starting to wear out. Pictures don't do it much justice but the first pic is the before, you can see the top where it's not shiny was really rough and the overall unevenness of the finish.

Be patient, it does work well!
You need to be patient. The binder is thin so it will take multiple coats. My steering wheel had a hole right through the leather and it turned out not bad. I did sand a deer skin leather glove and used the dust to dust the binder after each application to build up the worn area and fill the hole. It worked great to build it up. Apply the binder wet to avoid streaks. It helps to speed up the process, to set up a fan on your seat. The feel is a little harder at first but I imagine it softens up over time. This product seemed to work well. It was ready to apply and easy to use. If you can give your self a day or so to apply it.
