Good, works well

2007 GMC Sierra 2500 HD pickup. Had a line rust out on the right rear. The fittings I removed wouldn't fit anything on my SAE/Metric thread checker board. They looked like 10mm x 1.0 but the threads were very shallow and wouldn't even go back in what they came out of. Maybe the threads are cut like that so they won't back out? I dunno. But I took a chance on these and they worked perfect with the 3/16 copper/nickel line I got here on Amazon. I only replaced the one bad line for now but will eventually replace them all when I have time to pull the bed off for better access. I don't know the size of the other fittings but I know these work on the two rear lines going from the tee and on out to the hoses on the calipers.

The bore of these stainless steel nuts is just tad smaller than that of the regular steel nuts, making it difficult to slip on to the PVF-coated brake lines on my Nissan that I need to patch up. I ended up having to use the the standard steel nuts instead. These stainless steel nuts can go on the new copper lines with no problem, but I think the purpose of getting this stainless steel version is for the existing lines in the car. If we cannot use it on the car, what is the point of this expansive stainless steel nuts ?

I used these on the rear brakes of my '98 Honda Civic in conjunction with copper alloy lines when the original lines had rusted away. I hope I'll never have to work on the brakes of that car again, but if I do, the combination of copper alloy lines and these stainless steel nuts should make the job easy. Highly recommended, even for a vehicle well past its prime.
