Print quality and the content of the book is amazing
For the first time i received a book with a fresh smell of print. The book has a total of 149+2=151pgs.(Incl. the last page which has the image of Anne frank walking away). Due to recent floods, between 03.Dec.23 & 06.Dec.23, i could not move out of my house. It was very much uncomfortable for me to be confined within my house just for 3days,whereas this girl's whole family had been living in confinement for about 2yrs.I cannot even image the level of misery the family would have gone through all because of Hitler.Just because they were born jewish, the family lived a miserable life.I thought the genocide of Srilankan Tamils in 2009 was an inhumane act,but this is much worse than that. The innocent civilians of Srilanka were atleast killed at once, whereas many Jewish families went through unbearable suffering for many days. The graphic artist brings those scenes right in front of us.After p.24,the depiction is so immersive that, it feels like we are being a mute spectator of that family. This book shows how dark the human mind can be (like Hitler) but at the same time the grit of another human mind (like Anne Frank) for a better tomorrow.

Ideal gift for a kid who loves to read
The book is a treat not just for kids but also for adults. Even more so if you have read the Anne Frank's Diary. The illustrations are gorgeous and the paper quality very well justifies the price. I will gladly buy this again.I bought this is a gift for a dear 10 year old kid who loves to read and she read the entire thing in one day. She had many questions about the book and the war, which is all great! Her parents were also excited about the book and they are reading it right now. What a wonderful product! There was one issue with shipping. This is a tall book and Amazon ships it in soft packaging. The spine of the first book that I received was broken. Amazon replaced it and the second book came in similar packaging, but in good shape.

A Faithful Adaptation
I saw this in the bookstore and loved the cover. I must have last read the book about 20 odd years ago. I was skeptical about the adaptation, looked it up online, saw good reviews and it being listed on some reading lists. So picked up the Kindle version to read on my Tab. The adaptation is brilliant and as touching as the original diary. It keeps to the original in the journey through the War and also the journey of Anne’s development as a mature lady, wise far beyond her little years. I was able to recollect some of the passages from the book, and loved the visualisations of many of those scenes. The ones I had built in my mind while reading the original. I’d recommend you read the original and then the graphic novel to appreciate it fully but full credit to Ari for this adaptation which is strong on its own

Brilliant Graphic Adaptation
The media could not be loaded. Graphic Book Review: Most of us would have read Anne Frank's Diary while growing up and been profoundly influenced by it. It's an amazing book/diary and perhaps without any equal before or later. When I read about a recent top 10 graphic books list and saw this as no 1, I was immediately interested. The cover page illustration looked so good. And the chance to go over Anne's Diary in an illustrated form all over again and relive her life in captivity at one of history's most poignant and black times was irresistible. This graphic adaptation (first authorized one) is truly among the best I have seen and I enjoyed it hugely. The imagery, illustrations, condensing many passages into graphical metaphors is just brilliant! The authors have thoughtfully retained and reproduced certain later passages in full which represent Anne's evolved writing. The illustrations are stunning. All credit to the very talented and brilliant David PolonskyIdeally you should read the original and this one to soak it all in. But this one on its own is just as good.

Beautiful n poignant
When I thought of an illustrated version of such a beautiful insight into a young mind going through such circumstances of war on top of significant puberty issues, I just was curious. This book has incorporated the illustrations so well into the writings, it just feels natural. It’s not like a comic book or a general graphic novel. It’s more like a diary!! The one it’s supposed to be. Lovely, distressing, in depth and soul searching. Fear for your life is ominous, so is hundreds of other things, acceptability, desire, attachment, support, and so much more.Beautiful read for people who found the original version too strenuous too read. (I would still advocate to read that one too)

A treat for the eyes.
So interesting to see the diary entries in such an illustrative way!! Though not every entry is depicted in the book but at the end the illustrator gives an explanation on that. A good read, finished it in a day . Loved it .

Gorgeous
Wonderful illustrations and easy to read. The reader gets to interpret the illustrations as the story progress. It’s really a beautiful book — to read, to have and to keep.

What an absolute delight!
Really nice book, amazing colorful illustrations. I've lived in Amsterdam for a couple of months and I didn't visit the Anne Frank house as I didn't read the book (I get bored easily). But after reading this one, I seriously regret not visiting. For people who don't like to read much, this is a perfect medium, which gives you a fairly good insight into the story and emotions of Anne Frank. It is a must buy!

Maravilloso
Una edición muy bonita, colorida y atractiva. Merece la pena. Una forma de acercar la lectura a aquellos niños a los que no les llaman los libros por ver demasiada letra. Una buena forma de hacer una transicion entre comics/mangas a libros.

A gem
Our 10-year daughter is quite historically-aware and somehow has a keen interest in the second world war. In addition, she loves to learn about women that stand out. And she is very much into graphic novels. So this was the perfect Christmas gift. The book is filled with beautiful art and is a spectacular adaptation of the Anne Frank story, that adds another dimension to the narrative. The style and colouring match the late 1903’s and war years. Our daughter already read an Anne Frank biography before so she knew the story and details (and was horrified by it). This graphic novel however it doesn’t not address nor depict the Bergen-Belsen camp part of her way too short life. It is an abbreviated version of the dairy but its captures the essence very well with the artist perfectly rendering some of the Anne’s thoughts and perceptions that she trusted to Kitty, her diary. It is a gripping story about growing up in unusual and grim circumstances, while the humanity shines through though Anne’s wit and grumpiness. TheThe book and its stunning art gives gloom impression of Anne’s circumstances, it is a touching visualisation of event and her thoughts, the boredom and despair. You will get cross section part of the secret annexxe “achterhuis” and god explanation fo several events during the war as well. In contrast to many comics there is a fair amount of text, but it is highly readable and a page turner. This is simply very powerful story telling. Very well done.
