ToJane Red Desk Lamp,Architect Table Lamp,Metal Swing Arm Studio Light with C-clamp,on/Off Switch(Bulb Sold Separate)

This lamp needed to have the joints tightened up a bit but other than that was fantastic straight from the box. I'm using it with a Very Large LED grow light bulb and it's been rock steady holding that heavy load off the plants. That being said, the shade is plastic so I was very careful to make sure the fins of the light bulb do not touch the shade nor gets hot enough to cause the shade problems. I left the bulb on for several hours and was able to touch the fins directly and the shade was very slightly warm to touch, that's it. Make sure the bulbs you use do Not get hot!This has a very nice clamping system that allows to use the clap in several positions and the tensioning system is neatly done. The overall look is sharp and would fit with many different styles of decor. This will stay on my list if I ever need spot lighting again.

Easy to assemble even for me! Despite the instructions being enigmatic although depicted with drawings. My only real criticism is that the lamp shade is rather too small for the bulb. Still, it is a great value for a very attractive good looking architect type lamp which functions well.

This review is actually for the second one of these lamps I've purchased. There is nothing wrong with the first one, I'm just using two to get even lighting on my work desk. It's a great lamp, it's super tall, it goes wherever you need it to, the clamp is way more solid than similar lamps I've purchased.Only problem is that the lamp free floats in the base. If you try to clamp this to a tilted surface, the lamp will swivel around with gravity. But if you're attaching this to a flat desk, you're golden.

Appears to be a product with limited applications. Component parts are mostly plastic, probably resulting in a lower price product. The lamp shade is NOT LARGE ENOUGH to cover a “standard size” LED lightbulb (left picture) or A19 LED bulb recommended by manufacturer (right photo). This small shade can be extremely annoying with a large size - usable LED bulb, due to glare issues. The recommended A19 LED bulb (right photo - 60 w equivalent) does not provide enough light for task applications. Recommend spending a little more and getting a better quality lamp of metal construction with a larger shade.

I needed a lamp for my office desk and decided that a clamp on lamp would work because of my lack of space. Great idea but it just didn't work out for me. The color was fabulous but the light was too small and the glare on my monitor was really bad. I was afraid to touch it to try to adjust it too much because I thought it would fall. I had to return it.

This lamp is installed in my garage to put light on my small parts drawers. I put a 100-watt equivalent LED bulb into it and it works great.It's a "standard" scissor armed lamp that comes with an adapter that can bolt to a variety of surfaces.The power switch is a rocker design, not a twist style. I prefer this rocker kind of switch. The twist type are sometimes problematic.Easy to install, standard Edison style bulb threads. Good price.Like it.

This is a well-made light that is easy on the wallet. Read all the product descriptions before you buy, it tells you the size bulb to use so it does not come out of the shade. People that complain about how it does not use standard bulbs after they buy it, are illiterate morons. It uses ABS plastic for the shade and the joints. The rest of the product is metal. The pics they use look more like a maroon color, it is actually a nice matte red.

The shade is tiny and as a result, any lightbulb protrudes out, rendering the shade useless. Thats the only reason why i gave it five starts for brightness. The bulb sticks out of the shade, so its right in your face. The only way brightness would be an issue is if your bulb is broken. The joints do not lock well at all. Not a big deal for me, with how I use it, but if you want to bend it at an angle, it probably wont lock down. This appears to be a common complaint. You get what you pay for which is why Im not that worried about it.
