Security for multiple devices to protect what matters. One product to protect all your devices, across platforms. Bitdefender Total Security keeps your Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android devices safe, with no compromise on performance and battery life. System Requirements Review: Works well - Nice price for large number of uses Review: No Competition......'Too Bad - In years gone by, the A/V testing labs made it clear that the 2 best security suites were those produced by Bitdefender and Kaspersky. This was borne out by experienced geeks (like myself) who had used both solutions for several years. The result was fierce competition between the two, resulting in steep discounts on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. A good example of this was when I was able to purchase a 5-user / 1-year license for Bitdefender Total Security on desertcart for $16 last year. Now that Kaspersky is illegal in this country (and for good reason, IMHO), Bitdefender has no competition, and therefore no reason to offer the kinds of discounts it has in the past. I find this situation deplorable. Not that Bitdefender isn't a great product. It is arguably the best consumer-level security solution available. Sure, it has some faults: the pop-ups to buy their VPN are very annoying and full scans can take a really long time. Also, their "Safe Browsing" hardened browser isn't as useful or easy to use as Kaspersky's. (again my humble opinion, folks). But in terms of protection, it can't be faulted- I can attest that it's saved my butt on numerous occasions.(Both from outside threats, like malware and malicious websites, and from myself and my "dangerously curious" nature. My point in all this is that no other company has stepped up to fill the void left by Kaspersky's absence from the American market, and that is terribly unfortunate for the end-user (aka: consumer). You see, competition is a necessary component for capitalism to work. Without it, the consumer will inevitably get screwed because, after all, to paraphrase a great president, "the business of the internet is business". And companies feel obligated to take advantage of market conditions, and so we end up paying higher prices because there's no viable alternative. At least, yet. I hope that regardless of what product you prefer and choose to use, you will put pressure on that company to do better. Because they're supposed to be working for you; not the other way around.

Antivirus and other features
I've used Bitdefender for several years now without issue. It does a good job not taking up too many resources, blocks malicious URLs, provides a modest level of VPN data (although I use a different product for VPN) and more. I purchased a new license when the product was on sale for a good price (even better than any of their website offers). Since I already the the product installed, upgrading was easy. Just enter the new code in the central portal and you are good to go. The only issue I had was when I entered my new license info, it wanted to start my license from that day even though I still had weeks left on my old license. I emailed customer support and they added the extra time from the old license to the new license.

Satisfied
I had Kaspersky for 8 years until they were no longer allowed in U.S. I researched and Bitdefender was always next in line to Kaspersky. You get excellent protection along with a decent price.

Fast and secure renewal
Snap, renewed. If you're a Bitdefender subscriber, then you already know that it does its job. Lately, though, Bitdefender has been fiddling around with its licenses by making them shorter time periods and weird number of device configurations. We cover 10 devices and really wanted to renew through Bitdefender. Ix-nay at more than twice the price on Amazon. Even worse, we couldn't renew for more more than 1 year. After looking around the web for something close to what we wanted for a renewal, we were glad to find this particular Bitdefender product on Amazon at half the price of Bitdefender's website. Oh sure, there are some great offers on eBay, but, again, weird requirements to add the license to our current Bitdefender account. Things like we would have to use a VPN (which we already have in NordVPN) and be outside of the U.S. to add the renewal license, or we allow the seller to create an account for us to add the license (feels like a scam to us). We also found other offers from online retailers all around the world, but if these sellers send the wrong info or aren't really sending a license for this particular version of Bitdefender, then the renewal process becomes a nightmare. We trust Amazon and were glad to be able to renew this particular version of Bitdefender for our subscription at a fair price for the number of devices we need and a multi-year timeframe. What's more, the license information stays in our Amazon software subscription tied to our Amazon account pretty much forever. Thank you, Amazon!

Worst anti virus EVER
I would give it less than that if I could as my experience with pitdefender has been nothing but a nightmare almost daily. Something else goes wrong with my computer that never did when I was using webroot. I've lost my sound or my computer itself just went down totally. I tried rebooting the system and the problem still there. If I have some kind of malware in it then bitdefender failed to get it. It has been breakdown after breakdown and I can't seem to find any help from bitdefender. I'm not sure who decided this was the best antivirus software of 2026 but it is a horror story . Do not buy it

A favorite of ours for years now
Used Bitdefender for years now and have found it effective for protection from a variety of threats. It works unobtrusively in the background blocking threats.
