Thai Kitchen Gluten Free Green Curry Paste, 4 oz

I've always loved green curries but until I saw Nigella's "curry in a hurry" video I'd never thought about making it, and as it's usually too spicy for me to handle often. Not so when you make it at home! This is a gorgeous shortcut to a delicious meal, and let me share how I make it even quicker and with less effort than old Nige! I bring home a rotisserie chicken and strip off the meat. I use frozen or canned peas (Le Sueur!), roasted red peppers and anything else on hand that sounds good that day. Make a batch of rice (I use Jasmine rice) and when that's sitting with the cover on for the final 10 minutes, heat oil in a deep skillet, add the full jar of green curry paste, one can of full fat coconut milk (reduced is just waters it down and will not taste good at all), some coconut aminos to taste, a pinch of sea salt, and if you like a slightly sweeter curry you can add a bit of your sweetener of choice as well. Let that all bubble and simmer, as you add the thawed/decanted/drained veg, shredded chicken, etc. Cover and let simmer at lowest heat to allow the flavors to release and mix slowly. By the time the rice is ready, you should be just about done and ready to serve! Of course, like most curries, stews and casseroles, it's even more delicious a few hours later so I eat a modest portion and come back later, lol. You can vary what's in this, make it spicier, etc, but that's our go-to and has been for about 12 years now. We keep this, coconut milk and rice on hand so I can whip this up anytime and it's ALWAYS a huge hit. Great for cool nights, especially, or for a really nourishing lunch. This Thai Green Curry paste is remarkable - for unto 6 people, you need just this jar of spice and perhaps 2 cans of coconut milk - depending on the wetness of the curry you wish. It's a breeze to make Bangkok kitchen come alive at your table - serve it with jasmine rice and it's a terrific experience. All instructions are on the jar - simply mix your veggies cut to small cubes into the spice, stir fry 2-3 minutes, till all blended, add coconut milk - cook veggies to bite soft and serve! Excellent go to in a hurry.

I love Thai Kitchen curry pastes. I try to keep both red and green on hand for quick curry dishes. Really wish I had discovered a multi pack well before now. I dont always find this in store, and I am not driving all over to find it. When I use it, I tend to make a lot of food and go generous with the amount of paste I use. Now I have back up in my pantry. I bought these from the Warehouse, so the expiry date is not far off, but I dont mind (and I expected that). These pastes stay fresh and viable well past their best by date. I simply add this to coconut milk, add some vegetables and a protien, then have it over rice. Quick, yet tastes fancy.

I love the heat that this convenient, little jar of yummy Thai curry packs—it spices up my favorite soup broths and throws off a fresh, delicious aroma. But it goes super quickly, which adds up.

Curry flavor is a little bit bland. I’m growing peppers in my yard as well as Thai basil and other herbs so I’m gonna put the paste in a food processor and add more pepper, basil, ginger, and other herbs to crank up this taste on it just a little bit otherwise it’s pretty good and way easier than trying to make at home

I have been using this product for several years and it is consistently good. For some unknown reason the grocery stores I normally shop at have stopped carrying the green curry and only offer the red. I was so happy to find it on Amazon and the price was even better than at the grocery store.

A little bland with no discernable chili flavor although it is listed as first ingredient. As a matter of fact, none of the ingredients really shine. Probably best for persons trying Thai flavors for the first time. They should also check out recipes before purchasing any curry paste for the first time. Coconut milk is almost a necessity.

This is the item in my pantry I've used and repurchased the longest. Before I discovered this on Amazon, I bought it at the grocery store. You can explore using this delicious sauce in so many ways. It is distinct, memorable and convenient. It truly gives you an incredible flavor fest without the adding to your time in the kitchen. I'd highly recommend this to anyone, as it holds a space as one of my top 5 essentials of all time for the kitchen. It is also an incredible value for the price! The red sauce in this line is super yummy as well, but I gravitate to the flavors the green sauce more. Highly recommend!

Disgusting taste!

The paste is great. But it's not really worth the money for such a small amount of curry

Our family likes this one a lot. We go through one jar of this every 2 months. The simple suggested recipe included with it is good as well. You can of course make better curries from scratch, but for a packaged product and for the ease of making it, you really can't beat this one. We've tried other packaged curry mixes, but this one is our favorite. Would buy again!
