Auralex SubDude HT Subwoofer Isolation Platform

I didn’t just decouple the sub from the floor but I also elevated the position aprox 1 foot from ground almost near listening ear height level. Those 2 mods brought the clarity and clean bass sound to something I had not experienced before. I have dual Klipsch 12” subs and now they rest on a modern all wood long low profile media table vs on floor next to it. Even on the stand there is zero vibration no matter what volume is played at. It performs exactly as described.

I am using these under a pair of high quality full range speakers, each of which contain 3 12" woofers. For years I went with the approach of spikes to couple the speaker to the floor with mixed results. After having excellent success with Auralex foam under monitor speakers, I decided that maybe decoupling my large speakers would work well. Because of my speakers large size I decided to go with the full size sub dudes. Auralex rates them at 300 lbs. and my speakers weigh well over 100 lbs. each and stand over 5' tall and they are completely stable on the platforms. They have also been setup for several months and I see no evidence the foam is settling or compressing. As for their performance, they do an excellent job of isolating the floor and furniture from vibration. In addition low frequencies are rendered clearly with none of the "muddiness" that large woofers can often produce. I was so impressed with them I purchased an additional unit for my home theater subwoofer and 2 more sub dude II's for a smaller pair of full range speakers.

Bought 2 of these for both of my Definitive Technology DN12 subs. Perfect for my hardwood floors they work as described. Worth the purchase.

It makes a huge difference

no more sub crawl! I have a hsu vtf2mk4, and on my hardwood floor, it would rattle and walk itself all over the room. the vibrations were so bad it left marks on the floor. and the sound quality was horrible, all buzzing/rattling. after tossing a subdude ht under it, vibrations and sub crawl are gone! I wont comment on if the bass itself is any different. I honestly cant tell because I could only really focus on all the rattling and buzzing from the sub crawl. now all I hear/feel is bass. good bass. tight bass. rattle/vibration free bass! I would guess the bass was equally good pre-subdude, but I just couldn't really make it out with all the buzzing. now it's easy to focus on the bass itself. thanks auralex, great product. ps - for those more handy than I, making one of these doesn't seem hard. a firm board covered in cloth, with spongy foam padding underneath.

Works great! I’ve been struggling getting a subwoofer setup in my apartment (I know I know). For big rumbles it was just a bit more than I was comfortable with, even though I hadn’t had complaints from any neighbors. Splurged a bit on this product not expecting too much, to my surprise it worked perfectly! No more am I worried about watching or listening to things later at night, it took care of all my issues. Highly recommend.

I was hoping they would minimize transfer of vibration to my rear wall, but they didn't help me.

Performs exactly as specified. I've owned a lot of subs in my years but have never thought of placing them on an acoustically enhancing platform. I have a new pair of Klipsch R-112SW subs and listened to Guardians of the Galaxy last night. As usual with Klipsch I was very satisfied with the rich bass. Then the Auralex arrived this morning so I placed them under the subs on my floor (carpeted over cement) and played the last scene in Dr, Strange. The sound was so much louder and directed that I had to turn the gain down because the floor upstairs was shaking. I'm very impressed with these very effective sound platforms, they really improved the sub's performance. They also add a nice looking touch to the subs.

Dröhnen vom Bass ist weg, macht also das was es soll. Etwas zu teuer für ein wenig Schaumstoff, aber optisch ansprechender als meine selbstgebastelte Lösung. Von mir fünf Sterne.

Stopped my condo neighbors from complaining. Highly recommend!

Actually works, haven't heard a peep from my downstairs neighbours and have cranked up the subs.
