Works like a champ on Canon T4i and my new 5DMarkIII
Used it for remote photo activation on a T4i, easy set-up taking images in 3 minutes after unpacking. Did not test max range as I was ~20 ft away from camera when taking photos. Only concern is the fit of the receiver to the hot shoe, it does not lock on, just a snugish friction fit. This was not a big concern to me for my application but it could fall off if not paid attention to. I would recommend this to anyone using a long lens for remote actuation or my favorite application my T4i on the end of a monopod held straight up over my head for a unique 14 ft high vantage point at sporting events. Enjoy!

Worth every penny.
I would give this 10 stars if I could. I LOVE this shutter release. It's intuitive design is easy to use and practical. It's solid and well made. I use this in a studio setting where I need a photo that includes both of my hands and I press the shutter release with my mouth. It is reliable. The batteries seem to last forever. I have yet to change them and I have probably taken 1000 photos. The button release has a little cord that I can use to hang it next to my setup for easy access. I can't think of a single con. I was a little bummed that the shutter release is recessed a little because the plan was to use my foot rather than my mouth, but clearly that is no fault of the manufacturer. The recessed design and the button cover make it impossible to waste battery power and memory on accidental photos. This company has clearly taken pride in their quality of build and design.Update 021/21/2015 Still use this constantly. Batteries last a long time even when it's left to site. Still one of the best purchases I have made for my camera.

Nice But Over Priced
This works exactly like you would expect a remote shutter button to work and looks great. The material and functionality is cheaper than I would expect for the price tag. A lot of it is plastic and the sliding cover is just a sliding cover, which I though would have some function and not just protect the button. Still it is well made and functions flawlessly. I would just say the price is high for what you get.

Great Wireless Shutter Release
A remote shutter release is essential for night time shots. This one gives you a option to use it wired or wireless. That's helpful if one of your batteries should die.The main reason I purchased this release is because the signal from my last wireless release would sometimes interfere with the signal to my wireless strobes. This release has 16 channels to choose from, and so far I haven't seen any interference issues.Another reason I purchased this release is because it looks like a good solid build in the product photo. It is all plastic construction, and the battery door on the receiver seems a bit thin (fragile). In spite of this, it's the best built release I've ever owned.Another thing I like is that the transmitter and receiver use just a single AAA battery each.

I have had this for over a year, use it constantly, and it still works, and on the same battery I put in it when I got it. The farthest I have gotten it to work was about 100ft away, and got farthest I got it to go thru a wall was about 15ft. However, I mostly do astro photography, and landscapes, and operate it only a few ft away: I simply want to eliminate any camera shake.

Worked great a few times until the remote stopped responding with the receiver (lights on on both, same channels, etc) Going to order again because when it did work it was perfect. Will update.

I like that it operates on regular batteries
It's reasonably priced and it does what it supposed to do. I like that it operates on regular batteries, and not "button" type which, to me, don't last as long and can be hard to find. I only use it over a few feet distance, mostly to make sure I don't get any camera shake on long exposure pics. I't very lightweight (plastic) and doesn't add to the (already heavy) weight of the camera. I have it on a Canon 60D and leave it on all the time.
