Expensive but yum
The taste is delish and I can use it in place of honey (I’m allergic). Shipping took forever and the bottle is tiny though.

Breakfast was supposed to be a peaceful time
Breakfast was supposed to be a peaceful time, a quiet moment to savor pancakes with my favorite smoked maple syrup. That syrup was everything to me—rich, complex, with a smoky undertone that made me feel like I was dining in a cozy cabin by the fire. But then someone decided my breakfast bliss wasn’t good enough. The first time I served her pancakes with smoked maple syrup, she took one bite, froze, and looked at me like I’d just committed a culinary crime. “What is this?” she asked, setting her fork down with dramatic flair. “It’s smoked maple syrup,” I said, trying not to take it personally. “It tastes like I’m licking a smoking BBQ or a wood smoker,” she declared, pushing her plate away. “Why would anyone do this to syrup?!” I’ll admit, I was offended. My smoked syrup and I had a bond, and suddenly, it was under attack. Still, in the interest of preserving the peace, I went hunting for something less “offensive” to her delicate palate. That’s when I stumbled upon Runamok Organic Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. It sounded fancy enough to pass the test—organic, aged in bourbon barrels, and free of any smoky “controversy.” When it arrived, I cautiously unveiled it at breakfast, pouring it onto pancakes like a magician revealing a trick. She took one bite, and to my shock, she actually nodded in approval. “This… is good,” she said, without a single complaint about BBQs or campfires. And honestly? She wasn’t wrong. Finally, a Maple Syrup That Doesn’t Offend Her Highness’s Delicate Palate I had to buy the Runamok Organic Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup because someone decided my smoked maple syrup was “too much” for their refined taste buds. Heaven forbid we enjoy a little smoky complexity—no, everything has to be smooth, sweet, and drama-free, unlike our dinner conversations. I’ll admit, though, this syrup is really good. It’s rich, perfectly sweet, and has a subtle bourbon flavor that pairs beautifully with pancakes, waffles, and yes, even her precious artisanal cheese. It’s so good, I’ve almost forgotten the pain of being judged for liking smoked syrup. (Almost.) This syrup turned out to be a hit, and now I can’t use it without hearing, “See? I told you this would be better.” Of course, she takes credit for discovering it, even though I’m the one who ordered it. Typical. If you’re tired of being roasted for your syrup preferences and need a crowd-pleaser that even the pickiest eater (or syrup snob) will love, this is the one. Just be prepared to hear, “You should’ve gotten this sooner” at least five times per breakfast. Highly recommend—for your pancakes and your peace of mind. Now, breakfast is a little smoother, but every time I pour this syrup, I hear her voice in my head: “Why didn’t we just start with this?” And while I miss my smoky syrup days, at least I don’t have to endure any more comparisons to licking BBQ grills. Runamok, you saved breakfast—and maybe my sanity.

Take your old fashion to a whole new level!
This syrup is perfect for regular or smoked old fashions. I replaced sugar cubes for the syrup. Since it’s aged in bourbon barrels, it compliments your favorite bourbon really well. It’s not too sweet or over powering in taste.

Love it for my coffee!
I put just a tiny amount in my coffee and it’s so much healthier and tastier than any gross creamers!
