These are definitely better than the plug in rechargeable ones. The mechanism appears to be very simple and robust. Probably a bit expensive but at least my mem-sahib can use them all year round.

Best thing is the stopper is not cheap looking plastic cork effect but shiny chrome effect which makes these bottle lights much nicer

These bottle lights are a great idea. I bought them to light up a Jack Daniels bottle on my desk, so that my wintery dark and cold days working from home would be illuminated by pretty lights.I bought them August 2020 and the ones I received weren't as narrow as described by some others, so I didn't have any concerns about the unit falling in through the neck of the bottle and neither did I have a problem fitting rechargeable batteries in. In this sense, they work well.Whilst they are easy to use and look really good both from a design perspective and also when turned on (nice and bright), I was disappointed and shocked with battery life. These shouldn't be draining batteries so quickly, they are simply devices with low output LEDs so why are they depleting so quickly?If they could work on the fact that these get through batteries far too quickly, I would give them a far higher rating. As it is, it has been left in the bottle and out of use for months because I got fed up with how often batteries needed changing.It would be good if these had a built in way to have them turn on for x hours and then turn off for x hours so that they turn on at the same time every day and off by themselves to save batteries. Also, I see others have asked about flashing lights, that would be a nice option too but isn't built in at the moment.If the company could work on these points, they would be much better. All things considered, whilst they look nice, they are not worth the full price because, like me, you won't end up using them when you too get fed up with battery drain.

I usually buy these individually but thought I'd take a chance on these from Amazon and they're good. For some of the bottles I've had to pop on few elastic bands to stop them from slipping down into the bottle, but that's not an issue with the design of the lights. The brightness is very good, and the battery compartment seems sturdy enough. All in all I'm very pleased with the quality, and the delivery was nice and quick too.

Great little string of lights that run off of a single AA battery, I use rechargeable quality 2500-3000 mAh batteries, and they last for weeks with approx 5 hours run time per evening. No issues and have been using them for 6 months or more now.

These are not too expensive, but frankly they are very cheap looking. I have had a bottle light for a long time it was given to me as a stocking filler and it is really good quality so trying to find something the same has been a challenge. What disappointed me most was that it has clearly been sold as a fob off, if you have a bottle with a neck that is slightly larger that the stopper, it falls into the bottle. It needs a collar to stop it doing this, and all the bottle lights I have bought over time have been sold with a little rubber collar to ensure the stopper does not fall into the bottle. Such a pity. Too many companies now are simply selling cheap goods through amazon that are really not as good as they seem.

Good lights but unfortunately do not fit many different bottles and not any of really nice bottles
