MS-50 Model, Signal Booster Antenna for Digital HDTV 1080P HD Channels, 16.5ft Cable, White

Now I own a similar stick" like antenna I found on eBay. Like every other indoor antenna it came witha "signal amplified" claim like this one. But the difference is all of them came with a power adapter cord to plug into a socket to actually boost the signal.This magic stick claims the same "amplified signal" boost without ANY signal booster, either inbuilt or as an attachment accessory. Either way, these signal boosters must have a plug in to a socket cable that actually does the amplification. Magic stick came with only the stick and a coaxial cable. Nothing else.But what justifies my gripe is the poor reception I get when I used it versus an actual antenna with a functional signal booster.And I must add that the build quality of the stick is really cheap plastic in it's overall feel as opposed to the generic one I bought that is made of solid metal including a magnetic iron base.I've since returned this for a refund.

I am assuming that the weather/atmosphere has much to do with the performance of this device. Sometimes the picture I receive is perfect and at other times it freezes and/or pixelated. It picks up about 38 channels in my area but many of those channels are duplicated, audio only, foreign language channels or channels that don't exactly have desirable programming (unless you are interested in Dukes of Hazzard / Greatest American Hero re runs.) One of my local channels does not come in at all for some reason."Goodbye cable bills" !!! Not so fast.....I think I'll keep mine, thanks.

I am not eliminating my Satellite, I just like getting some local channels that are not available through satellite. I just hooked this up and it's very easy once I figured out that I should not follow the directions that were included. All that was needed is to plug the jack it in to my antenna input and then change the source from satellite (HDMI....) to TV.

I initially I connected the antenna to a TV on the first floor and the reception was very poor, only able to pull in 3 stations with limited viewing capability. Then I moved it to a second floor bedroom with the same southern exposure and was able to get 10 stations clearly. It's interesting that many of the local station broadcast antennas are located in the same area, but not all of them came through. I'm happy with the reception because I simply have it to supplement the satellite service, especially during storms. I live in a heavily wooded, rolling hills, rural area approximately 40 air miles from the closest broadcast antenna.

Brings in a great clear signal and helped my immensely in “cutting the cord” with cable! I boought a second for another tv.

I ordered this because I had seen the commercials and thought that it may be better than most. Once installed, I ran the channel scanner and it only picked up three (3) Dtv stations. Now, we have a local NBC & FOX station but the antenna failed to pick up either of them even after multiple scans. The channels that it did pick up are ones that I've never heard of in my life like "H&I tv". I can't even remember the other two names but they were not good stations. I am extremely disappointed in this device.

I have a battery operated TV that I keep handy for when we have power outages due to storms., It lets me watch the local weather for updates. I bought this antenna to try on it. I had used an indoor antenna previously and got all the local channels using an inline amp. Using the same amp i was not able to pull in all the channels with this antenna. Picture quality was similar however and if I were closer to the towers I am sure it would be fine. I went from 7 channels to 4.

Great product, was able to receive 53 channels. It was packaged well, nice long cable with a protective cap on the connection end. It's small and looks nice. Hight of a coffee can.A magnet base is nice. The only improvement I would suggest is to put a hole in the top of the antenna so you can hang it from a window frame or curtain rod.Going to buy 2 more now.
