I'm glad I kept my search up until I found this because it was the best features and value. I looked over the specs more than a few times because I couldn't figure out why it was about $30 cheaper than similar ones. Nope, same, nice. My kids and I have flown inside the house and outside. Inside it proved to be quite stable and controllable, which matters when walls and lamps are around. Outside the speed could shine. The video added to this review is from it going above the trees and showing miles of countryside. Headless mode was very accurate and helpful. It can truly save the day because it is much windier higher up than you might expect. The contents include a 4GB SD card that I just pop out, put into the laptop, and upload video clips to IG and Facebook. The video taken by the camera adjusts to brightness and resulted in crisp video on a clear day with sun and also at night.

Beginners will love this. Awesome! Greatest drone for beginners! I wrecked the heck out of my first one. I haven't crashed this one once! This is my second drone. My first one was very frustrating to use. When I tried to maneuver it moved very, very fast, often either crashing or compelling me to crash land because I was unable to maintain control. It was impossible to use. Eventually one of the motors started lagging causing it to just fly in circles on the ground. That was probably due to all of the crash landings and impacts. As a beginner, this was a very disappointing experience. In fact, it was almost a year before I approached flying a drone again.This quad copter is a dream. After I ordered it, I watched about a half dozen YouTube videos for it before it arrived and read the manual end to end. I charged up the batteries and set out to try it. All I can say is WOW. As a novice, I really appreciated the option to run it at the slower speed. The one button take off and landing/e-shutdown was an incredible help. The fore and aft lights as well as the heading light were very, very helpful in maintaining orientation. I ran though both batteries in about 15 minutes but not before feeling comfortable with the controls and operation. I even got to the point of landing and taking off without the automatic assistance. Totally psyched. The second battery went down before I had the chance to do a 360° flip. That's tomorrow when I get home from work. :-)The only thing I had an issue with was the trim adjustments. While helpful, they were somewhat difficult to dial in. This was probably due to my inexperience. Eventually I finally got them sort of set up. I got it to pretty much hover in place without too much need for manual control.I didn't attempt to install the Google Play app on my Android and fasten the phone to the control because I didn't want to make my first experiences more difficult. I felt that it might add complications that would muddle the experience. I would recommend that new users do the same and wait until they gain some sort of competency in the transmitter's controls. I hope to be able to install and be able to use the app in the next couple of days. Video of a flight and pictures would be awesome.While the battery life doesn't seem long, I've seen where extra batteries are available for not too much $$. In my opinion they would be definitely worth considering if you want your time with this thing to be truly meaningful.I would seriously recommend this to someone looking into buying their first drone.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought this drone for my husband's birthday. It was delivered and he happened to be at home so he opened it without my knowledge. He called me and excitedly told me that the drone was perfect for him. He set it up and flew the drone immediately. My husband found it really easy to navigate for a beginner and he sent me a video of what he captured using it. After a few minutes of flying it, he decided to recharge the battery and a couple of hours later, he played with it again. It was getting dark then and he got too excited flying it that the drone flew out of range and he never regained control of the drone again. It really made him sad. So I contacted the DBPower's customer service chat and told them that the drone flew out of range. They without battling an eyelash, offered to replace the entire unit because it is under warranty. I was ecstatic! I didn't expect it to be that easy to ask for a solution. I was actually willing to pay for the replacement but they were happy to replace it 100% free! NOW THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! My husband will definitely be so surprised to receive this! Thank you DBPower and continue to make customers happy!

Had this for a day and highly impressed by both the control and the video quality for the price. Battery life, not so much but from what I've read, they all have this issue. It does come with 2 batteries and a usb charger cable. Plug the cable into any phone charger block. It is very lightweight and at higher altitudes around 50 feet, the wind plays a factor. The one touch landing button works but from that high up, it had a little trouble descending quickly so be careful as mine drifted over into a tree while landing. Not a big deal, probably beginner error. Overall we really like it and was a great starter drone for my 8 year old son.

this is listed as a BEGINNER drone. my son flew it twice. on the 2nd flight the drone was too far out and lost connection with the remote control so it just flew away. If you're a beginner, get the drone that won't fly out of contact with the remote and/or flies back to the spot where it took off.**the camera was great and the controls were intuitive. This would have been a great beginner drone if they went one step further______________________________________________________________________________After my initial review (above) I was contacted by DBPOWER and they were genuinely upset that the drone had lost connection and was......lost. They offered to send a replacement drone to my son (who was absolutely crazy happy when the replacement showed up!). Kudos to the customer service team at DBPOWER for their concern, response and help. Very rare these days. I'm not sure what else they sell but when I see DBPOWER listed, I'm not going to hesitate to buy, or recommend someone else to buy their products. Good on them!
