This is superior to other "outlet in wall safes". I tried one with a lock and it was needlessly complicated and lacking strength. I have a twelve year old granddaughter who could have broken into the locking version in 30 seconds with a screwdriver. Who's kidding who? I think it's enough to have it hidden behind an outlet plate. If someone is smart/lucky enough to locate the safe at least the wall or safe won't be damaged in the process. I use this safe for password backup on a thumb drive (which is also password protected) along with other items of similar low financial value. ABS plastic is a plus due to its strength -it's not cheap plastic. My only criticism is the way the safe is intended to be mounted, I developed my own way by fastening to a stud with my own screws (diyer's will find this easy).

Everyone should have one of these in their home. I installed it at regular outlet height and it blends right in. It’s small but perfect for credit cards or cash. I dare anyone to identify mine.

It is not wide enough to store an American passport. It does fit credit cards and other things. It looked like good quality. I was happy. The item was super easy to install. It fits right in. It looks like a real outlet. I wish they come out with the newer square outlet design next.

This diversion safe looks *exactly* like an outlet in the wall. Very impressed.
