it does not work with certain intel SFP+ cards. (Update: 10gtek fixed the issue )
Item is not compatible with certain Intel cards, because if you use Intel equipment. It will either not work at all, or if you do happen to get it to work, it will only link at 1gb. Tried a different module, and instantly connected at 10gb.Update- 7/15/2025Even after I had returned the transceiver, 10gtek messaged me about the compatibility issues. They were confident they could fix the compatibility issue. So even tho i had already returned the transceiver and gotten my money back, they asked for my address and mailed me another model to try, FOR FREE!!! And it works perfectly. Get consistent 10gb speeds with over 50ft of ethernet, great transceiver. And my hat off to 10gbtek, I have never had this level of support AFTER a return. They are quick to answer questions, and will not stop helping you until your issue is solved. THANK YOU 10GTEK!!!!! Best customer service I have seen in this day and age.

Works with Synology UDM and Switches. Gigabit speeds and reliability AIO.
Installed into our Synology UDM unit; works perfectly, picked up the SFP port immediately and started working at gigabit speeds. For the price, this is an awesome deal.

Works in additional modes not expected
Works in my UDM Pro Max and getting a full 10Gbe connection to my fiber ONT. While set to 10Gb on the SFP+ port, it still connected to a 1Gbe Ethernet on my old ONT just fine. It does run a bit hot like it says on the package. Heat is typical for these adapters. I added heat sinks like another reviewer and dropped running temps a few deg C. Install was simple, just plugged it in and plugged in an Ethernet cable. Maxes out my 5.3Gbps fiber internet. There are 2 PHY chips these can come with. Both are capable of 10/100m & 1/2.5/5/10G. The AQR113C has more buffer and manages less than 10G connections better using pause frames instead of using blank frames. The ASF-10G2-T only uses AQR113C.

Functional and versatile SFP copper transceiver
This transceiver worked great in another switch I purchased from Amazon with a no-name Chinese company. I also used it in media converters (fiber to copper) for connecting directly to my computer. It automatically negotiates the speed and was extremely easy to install. It was also compatible in my Intel X710 network card that runs the network for my server to connect to my coax cable modem. The fact this SFP supports multiple speed options is also great because I connected it to a switch with only 10G but it worked fine connected to a 2.5G copper RJ45 jack without any errors, so it must negotiate and rate limit within itself.

Works at the 1.25gb speed only. Great price.
Works well, although like another reviewer mentioned it won't work/negotiate at a lower 100mb speed. Using it in a trendnet 2.5gb switch.

Just what I needed
Worked great straight out of box. Purchased 80m variant, handled a ~50m run no sweat.

Works great with mikrotik switches
Now can get 2.5G speeds without the need to buy a 2.5G switch. Just buy cheap 10G SFP switch.

Avoid
Device couldn't auto negotiate to 1.25 Gbps link speed. When I tried to force the link to that speed, it wouldn't work at all.No matter what I tried, the device just stayed stuck at 10 Gbps and wouldn't auto-negotiate to proper speeds when paired to any interface at varying link speeds. This caused issues when trying to communicate with my ISP via a WAN link. There is quite a bit of overhead as well, expect to lose about 200+ Mbps on your link, even when it does work.Runs hot.Quality is average.I feel like the compatibility isn't great. It was easy to setup. It has a single port capacity. All in all, I feel like this wasn't worth the price I paid.
