Been using this system & filters for a couple of years. Works perfectly! Each filter lasts me over a year. My bf & I were being silly one night & did a blind taste test on each other, using the filtered tap water (which tastes like a swimming pool when it's unfiltered & straight from the tap - gross!), vs 2 or 3 different brands of expensive bottled water from the grocery store. Each of us picked the filtered tap water as best taste & mouth feel.This filter does an excellent job of removing the awful chlorine taste from water, and I don't have to waste time & money buying bottled water & lugging cases of that around. Filter is easy to change & comes with a new battery so you can keep track of the filter's life (green-yellow-red lights) as your using it throughout the year. I highly recommend.

Perfect fit replacement

We drink a lot of water and use filtered water to cook with so having the WaterChef countertop filter has been very positive: it was very reasonably priced and is easy to maintain. We found the filter cartridge lasted about 9 months. As usual, Amazon service was superb and the filter arrived in great shape, was easy to install (here's looking at you, Aquasana), and immediately improved the taste of our water. Also included was a replacement battery for the green/red light on the filter to let you know when it's getting time to change the cartridge out. Very pleased.

Since you own it, you know the following:* These filters are very expensive; this is an awesome alternative as Royal's filters are NOT available online; they are a pyramid scheme.* I was skeptical even after ensuring the measuring specs provided, but they all seemed too good to pass.* I am very happy to inform you that it DOES fit nicely.* I noticed the removed filter (Royal's) had to be jimmied with to get out. Now, this is the first time I do this, so perhaps the filters do expand with the running of water and time.* With the above mentioned, this filter went in very smoothly and screwed on as if it were a Royal's.* It comes with a battery replacement, too.* I noticed NO difference in flavor, it is the same non-taste as Royal's.Side Note(s):* Remember to let water run for 15 mins. This is in the instructions manual to remove residue from filter.* There's another version of the Fresca Pure (I think it is 5000, but not sure) and I can only assume this filter will NOT work on that filter system.* I only gave this review a 4 star based on all of the above. I will update to 5 when I see how long it lasts. They claims to last a whole year, same as Royal's.

I bought this very product back in Dec.2013. It works for me and works well! Each time that I need to replace the filter...OMG you should see what the inside looks like! I am so glad that I purchased this item because I do drink lots of water and with the use of this filter it tastes so much better. Plus the water is also used for my keurig brewer. I am however very dismayed that the price has gone up from the once $47.64 to a whopping $59.95. It looks as if I will have to look for some other option! It was good while it lasted!

I purchased the WaterChef CR70 Countertop water filter one year ago this month. With normal use, filters are to be replaced once a year. It was time for me to replace the filter, for the first time, since purchasing the waterfilter. Replacing the filter was very easy, the directions were easy to follow. Cleaning the canister, and replacing the filter was very simple. And it also came with a fresh battery to replace the battery used by the gallons counter on the WaterChef system. I am enjoying knowing my water is clean and crystal clear. My shipment was delivered within days of ordering. All was in great shape and I am very pleased with my purchase.
