what about size, as my hands are big and usually need an XL in most previous supports?

I need a support for trigger thumb. I have long fingers and thumbs and found the thumb support on this too short - whatever adjustment I make to the straps it comes below my thumb joint so does not stop the thumb bending. I bought three different supports and this was the most expensive - the one I use is the lighter weight FlexSport which has a firm metal splint and immobilises the joint. I also find it better when doing something involving water as it is more difficult to fit a rubber glove over the Mueller whereas they fit easier over the FlexSport.

I'm trying to find a thumb immobiliser for my 4 year old son. Would this be suitable? His wrist size is just 14cm. Thanks

For a small size, have a look at an Aircast A2 with Thumb Spica. The small size goes down to 12.7cm around the wrist.
