Havahart Deer Off II DO16RTU Deer, Rabbit, and Squirrel Repellent, 16 Ounce Ready-to-Use Spray

We had been feeding birds by our backdoor and this squirrel started coming around. I really didn't mind but then she started trying to EAT HER WAY THROUGH OUR SCREEN DOOR. I caught her chewing her way through and in about 5 more seconds she'd have been in our living room.At that point i started discouraging her by spraying her with first just water, then water laced with cayenne, then water with eucalyptus oil, and none of that worked so then I tried pepper spray and even that only worked for a couple days. This was AFTER we'd had to quit feeding the birds and cleaned up all the seeds on the porch. The damn squirrel was determined to break into our home and I caught her chewing the screen again and approaching it several times more.So I bought this stuff, sprayed it all around the porch, and immediately she quit coming and has never been back since even though I did see her around - but she kept her distance.Great product for pesky squirrels!

This product has three times the concentration of the primary ingredient of similar product . The key active ingredient in all of them is rotten, "putrescent" eggs. It ir organic and works like a charm. The prior owner of my place failed in attempts to grow fruit trees because of the deer.All the others are rated for use once per month. This one is rated to last "two to three months," and although I've just used it for the first time, I expect it will in fact last at least twice as long since it has three times the key ingredient. I have 40 young fruit trees, and have lost only one in two years to deer at a time that I missed a month in the "apply monthly" routine recommended by the other products.Because of health problems, I find the task difficult and will b e greatly relieved to have a product rated to last at least twice as long.There's just one glitch - this product has been sold in a container with a different design from the others, all of which are in white rectangular containers with a rigid plastic tube inside the bottle through which the material is drawn through a flexible tube outside the bottle. In two years using those applicators on a monthly basis I have never had a failure, but you will see that there have been MANY reviews saying the Deer Off applicator failed. So I bought a gallon of Deer Off, a much superior product, and transferred it to an applicator bottle from one of the other products. Except for Deer Off the containers are all the same.No problem - it works just fine and I'm looking forward to having two months before I have to apply it again.

Had originally gotten this for deer to spray on our arborvitae bushes. Worked great. But chipmunks have been driving us crazy around bird feeders and constantly "chirping" and no way to get rid of them. Until we tried spraying this stuff in the wood piles, on garden statues, the deck, anywhere where they seemed to gravitate to and do their alarm chirping. WOW. Never thought it would deter them but so far so good and it really seems to be working!!!

It's to bad I was to late to save the tulips this year, I know this stuff would have spared them from an early death :( I have used this 2 years now and it's always kept the deer and other creatures from my Lilies and other ornamentals they typically destroy during the bulb stage. I live in an area that is heavily populated by deer and forest animals, so if others are seeing no results, they must be doing something wrong? I always give a quick reapplication after heavy rainfall too.

I ordered this because we have a squirrel problem. We have two peach trees and last year they completely cleaned them out before we were able to eat any. We'd see peach pits and peaches with a few bites taken out laying all around our property and felt so irritated and defeated. We tried a net over the trees, but they still got to them and one even died when it got hung up in the net, which made us feel bad. This year they again got to one of the trees before we had a chance to get the peaches. But the other tree still had a lot on it, so I ordered this stuff and sprayed it all around and over the tree. To be honest, it smells kind of gross, but thanks to it we still have peaches to enjoy! It really only smells right when you spray it anyway. I would definitely recommend it to anyone having similar problems, and I plan on ordering more to use on our trees again and to test out on our vegetable garden, as we have pest problems there, too. I swear the animals are getting more food from our garden than we are. Hopefully this Deer Off will change that!

Big disappointment. Simply doesn't work. We had a squirrel making a nest in the overhand soffit of our roof. It's a small, enclosed space, about 1 foot high by 1 foot wide, and long. To deter the squirrel, I sprayed this material liberally about the entrance the squirrel was using, and quite a bit into of the interior of the soffit as well, close to the nest. The squirrel was unperturbed, and continued to come and go to the nest for several days after. The squirrel nest was eventually removed manually. This was in a dry, enclosed space, so there are no excuses about the spray being too dilute or washed away. If an animal is habituated to a location, this will not deter them.

Nozzle clogged after first use. Squirrel was not deterred from area. I sprayed the squirrel hole in my roof and all around this area every day for about 3 days. Used 3/4 of the (16oz) bottle and the squirrel could care less. I transferred the solution to a windex bottle because the supplied sprayer could not pump the heavy liquid after less than a minute of spraying. I gave up and bought a squirrel trap! Placed it right next to the hole he chewed in my roof and caught the squirrel on the second day. (squirrel trap was placed right in the middle of where the Deer Off had been sprayed) The squirrel now has a new home about 50 miles away out by a nice creek. I wonder how that 100% guarantee works on this....lets see...shipping....my time..... standing on a ladder spraying the roof, wind blowing stuff back in my face....eh... I'll just end it here and cut my loss at 13 bucks thrown away.

I live in a clearing in the woods, and the deer love my hostas, a good spray of this on them once they're grown lasts at least half the summer. Amazing!

It is missing the sprayer in the photo. I have no way to use it. It says "ready to use." Can customer service please send this to me?

It works well, but I have to spray every 10 days or so. The deer in southwest Missouri are voracious!

This product really keeps the deers and rabbits away. It doesn't wash off after every rain or watering. This is the best product I have found in my 32 years of gardening.

It is the only one that I use on my plants. It REALLY keeps the deer and other animal plant lovers off.

the product is generally good but i have purchased the item a few times and each time the pump was defective causing me to have to transfer same to another container
