Fake ones are made of more stiff plastic than this one , which makes detangling a living hell of a process. But the original Bestool is real game changer for detangling my thick coarse C3 hair after I tried everything else out there. It’s plastic is softer so it goes back and forth through each knot in your hair, you meed patience and keep repeating if the situation is bad, but it’s not as painful as other options out there. Also the thick long bristles will work better for thick hair than Wet Bruch and Tangle Teaser, cutting time by half.
