I had bought this thinking of it as a normal lip balm for my dry lips. After I received the product, I noticed the word *lightening* & was upset that I chose a product that's purely into marketing gimmick. I didn't believe that it would lighten my dark lips. But since I wanted to use a lip balm on an immediate basis, I didn't return it and started to use it.When you touch the balm, you know there's pure beetroot in it, it's not color. They have granules so the lip balm feels like a scrub but the balm isn't rough at all. I considered washing it after applying a hassle! But still followed through when I could.I had soft lips within a few days of using it. Not the lips which turn dry if you don't apply lip balm for a day, I have actual soft lips.And within a week of use, I can see the difference in the lip skin tone- lighter!Now I'm diligently following the apply-wash routing because I'm excited hahahah

I got this lip scrub in May 2019 and have been using it since then. I must say it has made my lips smooth and it definitely is gentle on the lips. My lips became dark all of a sudden (it's been years) and I have tried so many remedies natural and lip balms with SPF (as my dermatologist suggested) but nothing helped. I wasn't really consistent too with natural remedies but this has definitely lightened my lip color and I am glad I decided to try this. I love that it is all natural! The results are slow so you have to be consistent.Update :I bought this product again in December 2019 and it didn't smell like the first time I bought it. This time it has a typical chemical smell and the appearance, texture is also different. The granules were scarce compared to the last product. It isn't giving the desired result anymore. To make things worse it causes allergy for me. I didn't get allergy with their previous product. So when I checked with the old box I found that they have changed the ingredients! It's not completely natural anymore. It's disappointing! Hence I have reduced the stars to 2 . I wouldn't advice anyone to use this without doing a patch test first. I can't use this product anymore and my money is gone for a waste.
