My Go-To Car Doctor in One Pocket
Since I started using the OBDeleven 3 Pro pack, diagnosing and customizing features on my Audi and Toyota has become effortless. The Bluetooth dongle pairs instantly with the app on my phone, and I can access deep system codes—not just basic OBD2—across ABS, airbag, infotainment, and more. Clearing fault codes takes seconds, and I’ve even tweaked convenience settings like auto-lock timing and daytime running light behavior on my VW Golf. The guided tutorials in the app walked me through each step, so I didn’t fumble wires or menus. Battery drain tests, live data streaming, coded adaptations—the Pro subscription unlocks it all. If you work on European or Japanese cars (and even Ford), this tool turns your phone into a professional-grade scanner without the shop-rate price.

Easy to use but lacking in older models
Really good for reading error codes, expected more personalization (i.e. ability to program new battery), but car model is slightly older so that might be why I didn't have it. Expensive but really easy to use and more reliable than alternatives

An Expensive Unreliable Scanner with Major Compatibility Issues Plus a Monthly Subscription.
This review is for the OBDeleven Gen 3 scanner, which I received with the Pro subscription. I have worked with the company's support team and have tested the device on multiple vehicles to get it to work.Edit: The fifth image shows support's response to my concerns in this review. Basically, if a car does not have the two pins they are showing in the image, then this device will not work on that car. They refer to it as the CAN bus protocol. That may explain why some reviews say great things about this device and others not so much. This device only works on vehicles with the CAN protocol and is not backward compatible with older vehicles that do not use the CAN protocol. Be sure to check if the vehicles you plan on using this device on have the CAN protocol. I am still leaving this review at only one star because it should be backwards compatible with older vehicles and the description clearly states it works on Toyota and Lexus but says nothing about CAN protocol. And the images are in French on the English Amazon website.Key Issues Found During Testing:Inconsistent Connectivity: The device consistently failed to connect to both a 2002 and 2004 Toyota Tacomas. It also would not connect to a 2001 Lexus GS300. In contrast, my 6-year-old BlueDriver OBD2 scanner connects to all of these vehicles without any issues.Failure to Read Codes: I was able to successfully connect the OBDeleven scanner to a 2008 Honda Civic. However, after running a diagnostic scan, it reported "zero codes." This is despite the fact that the Check Engine, airbag, restraint system and brake lights were all illuminated on the dashboard. When I then plugged in my older BlueDriver scanner, it immediately found nine different codes.Given the extensive troubleshooting I've performed, I can confidently state that this OBDeleven Gen 3 scanner is unreliable. A basic, older scanner worked flawlessly on all tested vehicles, while this device failed to connect to most of them and failed to read existing codes on the one vehicle it did connect to.Additionally, the fact that a subscription is required to unlock basic functionality on a device that is already expensive makes its poor performance even more disappointing.Photos: The first three photos show the illuminated warning lights on the Civic’s dashboard, followed by the OBDeleven app showing a failed scan with zero codes. The last image shows a screen shot of the BlueDriver scanner’s app with three of the nine codes found visible. The Blue Driver was plugged into the Civic after the OBDeleven failed to read any codes.

Account required, Must pay for "credits" to use this device
The device itself is fine but feels over priced especially when considering you cannot use it for free after purchase. Basic feature usage requires you pay for "credits". If I change a feature toggle in my car, that's between 10 and 20 credits. Why bother paying nearly $200 just to get caught with on going fees. If this device didn't require an account and have you free use after, I would give it 5 stars. If hidden fees or limited use without paying more is the game, this should cost A LOT less, in my opinion.

Subscription required after a year, enough said
The device maintained a good Bluetooth connection throughout my garage while running diagnostics. Layout is good and easy to navigate. However, I discovered the subscription requirement after initial setup. OBD2 scanners shouldn't require monthly fees to access features. The app interface made navigation straightforward, though the subscription and credit system is just not okay. Hard to recommend this when it has a SUBSCRIPTION!

Expensive consumer-grade dohickey
This product is yet another attempt to monetize vehicle customization. If your automotive knowledge is close to zero and you want to do a one-time adjustment of hidden settings -- this product is for you. It is not suitable for most advanced automotive diagnostics needs, and especially for repeated or professional use because of expensive subscription and paid "apps".There are dozens of better OBD adapters on the market and many more apps. Many of those apps have no subscriptions and are entirely free. I simply do not see a reason why anyone would want to subscribe to services of questionable viability or commit to transactional payments every time they want to enable/disable their seat belt chime or adjust lighting options, when you can get all that free, or nearly free for your vehicle. To give credit where credit is due: the app is designed with style, very good AI. That is about all the credit I can give.Because of subscription features, Android app requires Google Play Framework. If you use de-googled Android phone, the app will not work. And you cannot use it without a google account. Based on the KISS principle, I see no need for diagnostics tools to require a user account, and that is another reason why I am rating this product so low.Connectivity uses Bluetooth, which is very slow for data transfer needs of modern vehicles. A $150 product should use Wifi or direct USB connectivity for faster, reliable data transfers.Final verdict: Underwhelming vehicle diagnostics adapter with the primary purpose of reaching out into your pockets.

So disappointed, avoid this product, huge waste of money
Not great, does not connect to the Audi and not reliable. The software subscription is expensive and support will not return any emails as well, very disappointed.
