Great item! Very easy to use and clean, which was my major intention in buying the garlic press. Very well made and like ly to last for decades. Attractive, too!

This is the perfect garlic press. The bowl holds at least three large cloves and up to 5 smaller ones and the flat press pushes them all through the mincer with ease...even with my slightly arthritic hands. Flip the handle, and it cleans the mincer easily. It is weighty, but that's a good thing - it's definitely built to last. The padded handles are a plus - so comfortable to use! I had tried another brand, a brand I know well and love, but I had to return it. Marketed with a large bowl to press multiple cloves of garlic, it sounded perfect but it just didn't work due to its design. Both are similarly priced but go with the OXO. You'll be glad you did.

I've been using this for two years before I wrote this review. Disclosure: I usually chop off the hard/woody bottoms of garlic in general.Fresh or frozen garlic stands no match against this OXO garlic press. After two years of heavy use it seems to be holding up fine.Typical use looks like this... Throw 1-3 cloves of garlic in. Close and press. Open, throw 1-3 cloves more garlic in. It does not seem to get clogged.Once I am done crushing said garlic, I take a knife and run it parallel where the crushed garlic comes out of to free any stringy bits before the next step. I then use the red grid grate thing by folding it inversely to clear the metal grate.A quick scoop of the garlic holder with a finger and you can throw that in your food or throw it out.The only minor hassle I have is if I want to add more then a few cloves to something and do not want to set it down. But other then that it's a great product. And has help up well!If the grates look generally clean I leave it on the top shelf of my dishwasher and it comes out clean, no problems -- unsure if it's "really" dishwasher safe but I do it.

This is a heavy-duty garlic mincer/presser. It is very durable and of good quality. I like the design as it has a built-in cleaner that pushes out the shelves. The compartment is large enough to hold several garlic gloves. The handles are grippy. This presser works great and I know it has good durability. I truly like the design of this garlic mincer.

Best garlic press! Handles are comfortable but strong. Can handle multiple cloves. Easy to clean.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would. I bought it because it was recommended by ATK. It is designed so well and it is so easy to clean!! The garlic releases so easily! I don’t have a dishwasher and have to wash everything by hand and hated washing every other garlic press I’ve had.There aren’t many things in this world that are absolutely perfect but this garlic press is! I highly recommend!
