JJC 40 cm black mechanical cable shutter threaded release works well
I got the threaded shutter release for my Fuji X-T3. I've been shooting the hummers coming to the feeder, manually setting focus and exposure. These types of shots don't lend themselves to using the in-camera delayed shutter. Having the extra reach with the 40 cm long cable was handy. I could rest my arm yet be ready for when a hummer came into frame. The action of the cable is smooth. I haven't needed the locking in the release position as I'm not needing a bulb exposure, but I've played with the mechanism and it works well.So far it's working well. Should things head south, I'll be back to amend the review.

Seems to be good quality
Works great for the most part, but is a bit finicky on one of my cameras. Not sure if it’s my camera or the release, but I’ve never had any other problems with the camera.

Great value for build quality
Purchased this for my Nikkormat FT series cameras as well as other mechanical cameras that have the threaded shutter buttons. Considering the price point I was expecting something, well, less than quality. Basically good enough to take a few long exposure seascapes with and leave at the hotel without worry. I honestly wasn't expecting this quality for such a small price. Let's face it, if you shoot film the prices are ever climbing. Camera prices, film prices, processing prices, even darkroom chemicals and gear. It's always a balance between how much you want to pay and what you think you can deal with. But this cable is honestly solid. It's not super long, so be aware of that. But it's long enough that you're not face planted onto the camera in a weird position. And with the fairly stout locking feature you can kind of "Set it and forget it" if you're doing really long night shots. I'm honestly going to buy a few more of these soon just to have extras around.I only gave four stars for durability as these, simply by their nature will wear out. But if you take good care of it, it will reward you with countless shots before the day comes you need to buy a replacement.

Inexpensive and easy to use.
If your shutter release has a threaded coupling, why not go for a mechanical cable release? This one is perfect--no need to worry about losing a small electronic release and no need to worry about batteries. It has decent build quality, and it isn't expensive at all.

It works, sort of
The cable release is a bit awkward. Its plunger does not spring back automatically. Instead it has to be manually unscrewed back into the cable mechanism. I do not find this to be practical and therefore do not recommend it

35mm SLR owners, take a look
I purchased this for low light shots because even with my K1000 on a weighted tripod, keeping the camera still for 3, 4, 5, seconds or more is not within my wheelhouse. As an example, night shots with 1/4 visible moon, with 400 ISO, and a 250mm zoom, it's going to take a while to properly expose the film. The long throw is really nice since my Nikon has a little longer stroke on the shutter release. The lock is a nice touch, I may end up using it if I get into a situation where I need an exposure time in minutes. One thing I did do, I used some moly based motorcycle cable lube to lubricate it. It was smooth operating before that, but after it's like warm butter. Please note that if you do decide to lubricate, it can make a mess.Would recommend.
