KRUSHER!!
I bought one, and used it for about six months, and it broke. But I liked the results so much, I bought another, and by being a little gentler with it, the crusher lasted much longer. It is cool looking, and while it works well, someone had suggested a bag/hammer combo, which indeed might give you better results.

Meh.
This ice crusher is just okay. It is very top heavy making it hard to keep still as you turn the crank. It would have been much better if it came with a clamp to clamp it to your counter top while you use it. It does not crush the ice very fine, definitely not for snow cones and the like. I usually use it to get the ice into smaller pieces to put in my blender so I don't end up with large chunks in my smoothies. When I was a kid we had an electric ice crusher that, although was loud like nothing else, worked really well at making small pieces of ice. I would like to have something more like that.

Hammer and bag work better
What an awful product. I received it August 10 and today, September 15, the handle broke. Come on, only 35 days of use?! That's ridiculous. The grinder part is made of heavy metal, but the base is thin plastic. Perfect combo for a breakdown. I would have been better off with a sealable plastic bag and a hammer for crushing ice. Of course, was so excited when I got it and it worked, that I threw out the packaging. So, now I can't even return the cursed thing. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Wish I hadn't.

ice crusher
Works great. Does the job, but I do smash my knuckles on the counter, just like my 30 year old crusher.

Worked OK till the handle broke
I don't make a lot of crushed ice, so I was looking for something simple that would do the job for making a batch of mojitos once in a while. This did the trick alright, but the handle axle broke after a few months, so not a whole lot of uses. It's essentially a long rivet, and the flattened end in the handle failed.I also noticed that it worked better if it was cold (e.g., in the freezer for an hour or two) before use.

Flimsy construction, breaks easily
This looks like an ice crusher I used 50 years ago, but that one was American made and solidly constructed. This one was made in China and is very flimsy. The handle broke off during the third use. This was my third (and last) ice crusher from Metrokane, and the shortest lived of the three. The others lasted a few months before breaking. I would gladly pay more to obtain a sturdy, well-constructed ice crusher, but apparently no one makes a durable model

Retro cocktails are more fun.
Just like the 50s again. Neighbors have been gathering for Friday 5:00 cocktails. Different cocktails are featured each time and having retro bar gear adds to the fun.

Built very cheaply
The handle on the ice crusher came apart and all the parts fell into the ice. We couldn't get it put back together. Thinking this was an aberration we exchanged it. Nope, same problem the second time. We didn't even get one use out of two items. This ice crusher is very poorly engineered. Don't waste your tie ordering this model.
