Excellent corded gaming headset
Bought this instead of a cordless set for use with a living room console setup. The over the ear cups have a very comfortable foam that stays comfortable for long sessions. The set is adjustable for different sized heads and I think it should work for just about anyone. Compared to the Arctis 7p wireless headset, they improved some controls. The 7p set has a volume control on the back of the left can which sometimes experiences unintended adjustments when resting my head on my headrest. This doesn’t happen on the Arctis 1. The cord is just long enough to connect to my controller. Sound quality is good, too

Great compared to competition, but not better than older SteelSeries entry level headsets.
I love steelseries. Although I do believe the sound quality of their entry level headphones have degraded with each iteration, Artis 3 used to be better, and siberia used to be even better. But compared to other headphones i prefer their sound signature, as they are soothing, not to sibilant. The cable is long enough, although it does twist and tangle. Connets well, color is accurate, and pretty lightweight, and really comfortable, more than other headsets I believe, the band style helps the comfort.

Sounds great
I looked at a bunch of wireless sets that cost 4-5 times as much, and bought these. I am using them with a PS5, and I plug into the controller so the cord really isn't an issue. they do include an extension cable if you need to run it further though. Sound quality is very good, the Mic boom is flexible and mic quality seems to be very good. Overall, highly recommend for a reasonably priced headset vs much more expensive wireless options.

good gaming headphones
the quality of the headphones are amazing. use them for playing call of duty, I can hear everything. the only thing is the mic on the headphones do work but people can barley hear you speak. not worth $55, being as though the mic barely works and they are not wireless, but they are very comfortable and sound amazing.

STEEL SERIES WARRANTY PROCESS IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL
As you read this review please note the headset was in excellent condition at the time it broke with no user related damage. Also, my experience during this entire communication process with Steel Series is that they will respond to your email once per day and not on the weekends. I bought this product in June 2021 and it broke early Oct 2021, one ear of the headset and mic no longer work. I purchased an extended warranty and called to make a claim, I was told it was still covered under the manufacturer one year warranty and I would need to go thru them. Contacted product support on the Amazon site and advised I wanted to pursue a warranty claim. Spent 30 minutes in an online chat with someone trying to fix the device to no avail. Was told I would need to go directly thru the Steel Series website. Spent half an hour online with Steel Series going thru the same process of attempts to fix the device, still doesn't work. I was advised I would need to submit pictures of each earpiece, mic, headset, serial# and original receipt to make a warranty claim. I sent screenshots of everything but the Steel Series rep indicated they were unable to view the screenshots so I had to resend it in a PDF document. Once that was done I was given a link to submit a warranty claim. You're required to break the headset apart in very specific ways or per Steel Series directions you risk voiding the warranty claim. (or you can send the headset back to Steel Series at your own expense and maybe/maybe not you'll get reimbursed that cost) I think I'm pretty strong but it's not easy to break them the way they ask, I had someone else try too. I advised Steel Series I was having trouble breaking them. I finally managed to break it but it snapped in a different area than the very specific way they advise you to or risk voiding the warranty. Then I had to send pictures of each broken piece. This time you can't use a PDF because it's too big for the space you need to upload it to, one space for each picture. Back to the screenshots which apparently now work for this part of the process. Then I got a an email saying I needed to send them a video of the product. Steel Series advised that they don't have enough data space for me to download a video and can't view a google link so I need to create a You Tube account or Vimeo account in order to send them the video. I responded asking where in the directions it indicated I need to send a video and what was wrong with the pictures I sent. I also indicated that I thought their process seemed designed to discourage warranty claims. I received a response saying - "The video is needed because our system is requesting it for further verification. If you are unable to provide it to us please let me us know so I can close this ticket accordingly." So, I guess I should just take a video without knowing what was wrong with the pictures and cross my fingers that Steel series now finds my submission acceptable??? I asked for a Supervisor to call me. No response. I sent another request for a Supervisor to contact me. I received a response to that email that my request had been escalated. Then I received the following. Thanks for reaching out to us. I read up on issue in the thread. I am one of the leads in the department. Video verification of destruction is something that our process requires. This part is important, and we really want to get you verified and get you your code for the new headset so that you will be able to get back to gaming, that we all love to do :). Please be sure to complete the video verification step, as not completing this will lead to denial of the warranty claim. Still no feedback on what was wrong with the pictures to ensure I accurately capture the information they want in the video. Still no call from a Supervisor. No ability to submit a video unless you're interested in creating a YouTube account for yourself and I assume uploading your video to YouTube for anyone to see??? I don't know if that's right because I don't have a YouTube account or have any interest in creating one. I sent a response again asking to speak with a Supervisor. I received a response from the same party that Steel Series only communicates through email. (As I noted at the top - they only communicate once a day, this has been going on for almost two weeks). I called and spoke with customer service at the extended warranty provider that I purchased from and explained what was going on. The party I spoke with agreed with my opinion that Steel Series appears to make it much more challenging than would be reasonably required to make a warranty claim and they were kind enough to honor the warranty at 100%. They gave me a prepaid label to send back the headset. When I told them I had destroyed the headset at the direction of Steel Series it got a little problematic but we were able to work it out and I have since been refunded the full cost of the headset by the extended warranty provider. The entire phone call with the extended warranty company took a half hour. They indicated they would be giving Amazon feedback on Steel Series warranty claim process, I hope they do. Still waiting to hear back from a Supervisor at Steel Series...........

Sometimes sound doesn't come from the right earcup, and the microphone is not working. And yes, I've tried literally everything on the Internet to try and solve it, but no.

At this price, I believe you cannot find better sounding headsets that also feels comfortable to wear.

I can clearly hear other people and the game in the background. For the price I recommend it if mic quality is important. My head is large but this fits well and is comfortable for hours, plus the ear cups don't make my ears hot. Buy this if you want decent game audio, a great mic and a comfortable fit for any size.
