Standing Stone Farms Basic Beginner Cheese Making Kit - Mozzarella, Burrata, Burricota, Chevre, Ricotta, Mascarpone & Butter!

This was one of many items purchased as gifts for my mother and this was, by far, her favorite! She had come across information on making ricotta years ago and tried it. It saves so much money. I know it’s a bit cliche to say this, but once you have homemade ricotta, you can’t go back to the stuff from the store! Mom is so excited to make more cheeses. She’s going to try mozzarella next.

This was my first time ever attempting to make homemade cheese. I figured since it is touted for the beginner, I might stand a chance... 🤷‍♀️😂 This kit comes with everything you need except milk or cream. So far I’ve only made the super fast mozzarella but I found that the directions were easy to follow. I still am in disbelief that the end result actually tastes like mozzarella. 😊👍 I have tons of supplies leftover to make more cheese. Also, do not be worried when the mozzarella calls for a full gallon of milk. It cools down and turns into a very reasonable amount of cheese. I highly suggest this kit for anyone even timidly interested in dabbling in cheese making for themselves. Also, it would be a lovely gift!

With milk being so cheap right now, I wanted to try my hand at making my own cheese. The kit arrived quickly and with everything you need to start making cheese. So far I’ve tried out the mozzarella. The instructions are really clear until you get to the stretching part - I could have used some more guidance on how long you’re supposed to fold it, and how exactly you’re supposed to stretch it. It tasted good, but the texture wasn’t quite right. I’m going to look up some videos on making mozzarella and try again. Still a really fun way to spend an evening!

This kit is great! We hosted a cheese making party and bought several of these for my friends and I to use. The instructions are clear and this kit has almost everything you need to make Mozzarella or Burrata. The only thing you need to buy is milk (and a good mixer). Who knew it was so easy to make cheese!?! My nieces are getting this kit for Christmas.

We belong to a dinner club and the theme was pizza night. I decided to make mozzarella (for the first time) and this kit made it happen. The cheese was so good! It was harder than I thought it would be, so I grated it, which worked out perfectly. I'm going to do a little research and see if there is something I could have done differently to make it softer. The flavor was great though, so if that's how it's going to be, I'm happy with it and will make it again! I used cream top milk from Whole Foods.

Just received this and already made a batch of fresh mozzarella, then a batch of ricotta from the whey, and I will be using the leftover whey to make bread today. Great beginner set and the instructions are very helpful. The packaging is lovely and would make a great gift. For more advanced cheesemaking you may need other ingredients such as coloring and culture but this is a great beginning kit and I will probably order other ingredients from the seller. I think it's a good value because to order all the components separately you might spend a lot more, and then if you gave up you would have a lot of wasted product. With this kit, you can try it out before you invest in a lot of stuff

The kit is great but missing one key ingredient. In the video, which you can access from the kit, the very first cheese to try uses an ingredient NOT provided by the kit. When I reached out to the seller about the omission, I was told it was to expensive to include. Instead of the seller including a small plastic bag of the ingredient, I had to purchase a large bag (for a minimal cost). Just be aware you don't get EVERYTHING you need in the kit.

The directions in this kit are so simple. I have been making cheese every week since receiving it. My family loves the cheese and I enjoy making it.

Bought this to start making reuteri yogurt with the Ultimate yogurt maker, also bought on Amazon. Easy to follow instructions which is great. Remember to keep some from your first batch to make more. You don't need to use a new starter package every time so this helps the cost. Keep the unused starter mixes in the fridge too. On my way to a healthy gut!

Cheese kit arrived the following day after ordering. Everything was well packaged. Directions are well written. We made the mozzarella and it turned out fabulous, can’t wait to try more of the recipes.

Unfortunately this was a Christmas present for my daughter in Canada but wasn’t delivered on 28th December as promised. The gift was delivered on 24th January this item was help up at customs but my daughter has it now & loves it.

The package arrived early, which was great! It came in a cute little box with a gold tie; it will make a gorgeous Christmas present. Everything was contained securely in the box as the seller said it would be. I am looking forward to taste testing the product once it's done!

Product is excellent. Delivery thru Amazon.ca partner was a bit on the slow side. Questions asked directly to Standing Stone Farm were answered promptly . Would recommend.
