Does this help with swollen ankles?

Something did reduce the edema of an injured foot. I ordered and tried this product and then returned it only because I had question marks about how it was affecting my digestion which is ..... not very good any more to put it mildly. I returned it after using 3 capsules each day for about 5 or 6 days. Then, I noticed my injured foot (the one with a metatarsal break that is permanent, the one that had swollen up for some reason when the other foot remained normal, had had its swelling reduced and now eliminated. Was it the result of using this product? It seems to me, maybe. I stopped using it of course once I returned it to Amazon.... but now am considering reordering.

Yes it does contain black pepper - the ingredients are: turmeric (curcuma longa root) 1500 mg.; turmeric extract 150 mg., black pepper fruit extract (bioperine) 10 mg.
