We just ordered this for our job, is it supposed to be calibrated? Ours is so far off

Ours was right on as well. Came with calibration documentation.

does this come in a fitted box?

The 98-8 level is supplied in a card board box fitted for that size of level. The level is wrapped in a wax coated paper for moisture protection

is this american made?

The one I bought last year is American made and it shipped from America
